The Restricted Radio Operator course of the Global Maritime Relief and Safety System is aimed at Captains and Officers and employers (including PPERs) in charge of the civilian navigational guard under the Global Maritime Distress and Safety System in the area A1.

The objective of this course is to train students to be able to perform the functions related to the radiocommunication service on ships under the Global Maritime Distress and Safety System (SMSSM), in maritime zone A1.
