Our STCW Basic Safety Training course in Málaga is the legal requirement for those wishing to work commercially on board ships, sailboats, superyachts, and cruise ships.

We are a center approved by the Liberian Registry to deliver these courses in English.

The Liberian Registry certificate is on the IMO's white list of recognized countries, so it is valid if you need the STCW minimum safety certificate and is even accepted by the MCA - UK.

  • Plan
    The STCW Basic Safety Training refresh course includes three main modules:

    Personal Survival Techniques (A-VI/1-1)
    Fire Prevention and Firefighting (A-VI/1-2)
    Personal Safety and Social Responsibilities (A-VI/1-4)

    This 2-day course is usually scheduled from 8.30am to 6pm.

    1 day: Fire Prevention and Fire Fighting drills.
    2 day: Personal Survival Techniques + Personal Safety and Social Responsibilities.

    From 1st of January of 2026, all seafarers are required to renew Personal Safety and Social Responsibilities module in accordance with the new resolution MSC.560 (108) adopted by the IMO in order to include a new competence in the Prevention of and Response to Violence and Harassment.
