The Navigator's Challenge — From the Sicilian shores to the return home.
Let's sail! If something distinguishes this last stage from the previous sections, it is the long high-altitude navigations between ports. After boarding in Palermo, we will immediately head towards Cagliari, in the south of Sardinia. An intense journey of 230 nautical miles and two full days on the high seas awaits us until we reach this beautiful port city. After a well-deserved day of rest to explore its streets and regain strength, we will once again release moorings.
The great ocean challenge and safety on board.
Our next objective will be to set a bow towards Mallorca. This stretch represents the true challenge of the navigator: three consecutive days of pure sailing, contemplating the sea, accompanied by dolphins and experiencing the magic of everything that happens on board during a voyage of this magnitude. In such long stages, daily weather analysis becomes crucial to optimize the route and take advantage of the upwind. Of course: the fundamental premise is that neither the crew nor the vessel will ever be put at risk. I assure you that it will be an extremely fun experience; I know these waters very well and I know exactly what I am talking about.
On the way to the final destination.
A day and a half in Mallorca will be the ideal time to be dazzled by its impressive cathedral and discover the attractions of this vibrant modern city. Finally, we will prepare to face the last stretch (and, in my case, the long-awaited return home): approximately 36 hours of continuous sailing until we moor in beautiful and multicultural Valencia. The champagne to celebrate the success of this incredible Mediterranean voyage is on my own!
