SATURDAY
Arrival of participants at 6.00 pm at the assigned nautical base: Sukosan DMarin.
Here we are, at the start of our sailing cruise-school-vacation! After the crew has boarded and our cabins have been assigned, we'll have a short sailing lesson and then head off to do some grocery shopping. Dinner will be on board or at a restaurant, at the participants' discretion. We'll spend the night aboard the vessel in the marina, or weather permitting, we'll cast off and spend our first night at anchor, lulled by the waves in nearby Ugljan Bay.
SUNDAY
The real sailing cruise-school-vacation begins! We'll set sail for the Kornati Islands National Park, heading for the island of Zlarin, an ideal place for a relaxing break away from the tourist crowds. Zlarin is a small island southwest of the Šibenik archipelago with a 1,700-year history. During the voyage, we'll stop for spaghetti and a refreshing swim at anchor in Vrgada, a beautiful cove on the island of Murter. Once we reach Zlarin, at the crew's discretion, we can drop anchor and dine on board under the stars or moor at the pier and dine ashore at one of the island's restaurants, where you can enjoy Croatian specialties accompanied by a glass of Rezina, a fragrant local white wine.
MONDAY
Continuing our journey, on Monday morning we'll leave Zlarin Island to sail up the Kerka Fjord (Šibenik Channel), where we'll be forced to motorboat. This will be a perfect opportunity to enjoy a delicious Aperol Spritz accompanied by a few musical notes. We'll cross Lake Prokljansko and continue upriver until we reach the lively and colorful town of Skradin, where we'll arrive around lunchtime. We'll dock at the well-equipped ACI Marina, complete with all amenities, including a bar, restrooms, showers, and more. The afternoon will be dedicated to visiting the Krka Waterfalls National Park, which can be reached by boat in just a few minutes or on foot in about an hour. We recommend not just stopping to swim at the foot of the main waterfall, but also taking the scenic hiking trail. In the evening we will stay in port in Skradin for the night and the crew can decide to have dinner on board or go ashore and dine in one of the local restaurants where you can taste Peca, meat (lamb but also chicken or pork) cooked in a clay pot buried under the embers.
TUESDAY
In the early hours, we'll say goodbye to Skradin and return to the open sea to set sail! Leaving the Kerka Channel, we'll sail past the islands of Zlarin, Tijat, Zmaija, Kaprije, Kakan, and Zirje, heading for the stunning Ravni Zakan Bay, where we'll anchor for lunch and a refreshing swim in the crystal-clear, emerald-green waters. In the afternoon, we'll reach the natural bay of Lavsa, a charming and tranquil spot, a favorite of Folco Quilici, the renowned documentary filmmaker, journalist, and maritime writer. In Lavsa, we'll dine on board under a starry sky, accompanied by the chirping of crickets, cicadas, and the occasional guitar.
WEDNESDAY
Our sailing cruise-school-vacation doesn't have to be stressful! We'll sleep a few extra hours and wake up with an invigorating dip in unforgettable waters. We'll then set sail for Telascica, arriving in the afternoon and spending the night at anchor. Telascica is home to a bizarre creation of nature, the Mir Salt Lake. This lake sits about 130 meters above sea level, and from its cliffs you can admire the sea stretching all the way to the Italian coast. The hike to the lake is short, a ten-minute walk, which can be done the following morning.
THURSDAY
Upon participants' return from the visit to the salt lake, we'll set sail for a short cruise to Sali, the largest town on Dugi Otok. Sali is a charming town with shops, bars, and restaurants, where those who wish can disembark for a spot of shopping or enjoy a drink at one of the many colorful harbor bars. After leaving Sali harbor, we'll stop in Zman Bay for a swim and lunch. In the early afternoon, we'll reach Iz Veli, home to one of the best-equipped marinas on the Kornati Islands. We'll spend the night in the marina and refuel. Iz Veli is a beautiful fishing and ceramics village overlooking the eastern coast of Iz Otok, surrounded by typically Mediterranean vegetation. This town also has plenty of traditional restaurants where you can enjoy excellent Croatian meat and fish specialties.
FRIDAY
We'll chase away the nostalgia for the now-nearing end of our sailing cruise-school-vacation by sailing to a "special" bay for a final swim, and if we're lucky, we might have some truly surprising and exciting encounters... dolphins! We'll return to the port of departure in the afternoon, where we'll spend the night and pack our bags for the next day's disembarkation. We'll spend the evening on board, in good company, reminiscing about the week we spent together, exchanging phone numbers and contact information.
SATURDAY
The crew will disembark, have lunch together if desired, and then head home for transportation.
