The nautical journey between Alicante and Formentera and Ibiza lasts five days during which the crew will be able to enjoy sailing between the peninsula and the islands of Ibiza and Formentera.

This is a relaxing trip, with two long crossings between the peninsula and the islands and short navigations between coves of Ibiza and Formentera to enjoy the baths in its coves.

Crew members who wish may take advantage of this to practice their skills as skippers, participate in the navigation plan, perform guards and assist in the maneuvers.

Already on the islands you can experience the experience of visiting some of the most attractive nautical destinations in the world with coves of crystal clear waters and unique natural environments.

Together with a professional skipper who will advise the crew on the routes of interest during the navigation and will instruct those who want to take advantage of this journey to acquire the necessary fluency and experience before sailing alone.

In this journey you will have the possibility to visit different points of the islands of Ibiza and Formentera: Cala Saona, San Antonio, Illetas, Cala Jondal, Cala Bassa, etc ... as well as the opportunity to do night navigation (subject to the navigation plan).

    FIRST DAY:

Boarding at 12:00 in the Marina Deportiva de Alicante.
Accommodation and instructions on life on board.
A few hours will be given for the crew to organize the purchase of food and drinks. For this, the crew make a common fund and buy what they want to eat throughout the trip.

Departure to Formentera at night between the first and second day, to see the sunrise sailing. The exact time of departure is determined based on the weather and when the purchase is complete and the crew is ready.

    SECOND, THIRD AND FOURTH DAY:

Depending on the weather conditions, the state of the sea, the wind and the preferences of the crew regarding which areas they want to visit and excursions to be carried out, the routes between coves and islands and the anchoring areas will be valued each day to spend the nights.

    FIFTH DAY:

It will depart from Formentera or Ibiza to Alicante the night between the fourth and fifth day, approximately at dinner time, between 10:00 p.m. and 2:00 a.m. (although the departure may be advanced or delayed if the skipper considers it necessary according to the weather report).

On the fifth day, you will disembark throughout the day at the Marina de Alicante. We will try to arrive in the morning, although the time of the crossing is subject to weather conditions, so it is recommended if you have to take a train or plane from Alicante to leave enough time and in any case, buy tickets. with flexible rates in case it is necessary to change the time or date of departure. At sea it is difficult to plan arrival times.

Other information
The boat is a classic training boat, it is spacious and all the beds are single, something unusual in boats on the rental market. Although, it does not have great technological advances for navigation or comfort benefits of modern boats. It has a kitchen, fridge and two bathrooms, the basics for this type of boat. It is important to take this into account, because for those who are looking for a vacation in a boat with maximum performance and comfort with toys on board, a barbecue or other extras, this is not the most suitable boat. You can check with the Sailwiz team for other proposals more tailored to your interest.

For those who want to enjoy sailing, without haste, in a classic boat and participate in the maneuvers of the skipper's hand, as well as participate in life on board, this is your boat.

Sailing is conditioned to the wind conditions, in the absence of this or when the wind direction is not favorable for the course to follow, it will be navigated by motor.

The crew members must take into account when making the purchase the food of the skipper, which is in charge of the crew members in the shopping boat.

Boat details

Vagabond 47 model ketch built in 1979 in Taiwan.

It is a boat used mainly for school activities and trips. It has a wide continuous deck to practice maneuvers without having to stay in the cockpit, together with magnificent sea conditions.

It is a boat from 1979, very seaworthy and very habitable. The cabins and bathrooms have the basic amenities. It is an old ship with good maintenance, but no frills. Ideal for relaxed and practical trips.

It was the second time I did this type of journey. Our skipper was not Jorge. I missed planning to see more coves and take advantage of the days. The day we went to a single cove in Ibiza, it was wasted, because we spent more time sailing to find the cove. I would propose to focus the journey on getting to know a single island.

From my Point of View, this Experience is focused more on the Sailing School than on the Tourist Journey, since it requires a certain Level of Navigation that Biodramina cannot supply. On the other hand, we miss anchoring in more coves instead of doing it only in 3. A 10 for Alberto's Professionalism. Thank you

Great colleagues, and good experience. Bad mark for the state of the boat. Actually it's 3.6 days of ship instead of 5. On Sunday at 8 AM we were in port. And for the little we have learned to sail. It should also be specified that the maintenance of the Skipper is the responsibility of the crew.

This is the third journey that I made with Alberto, and my daughter Ana her second, only for my wife it was her first journey. The assessment of the three is that Alberto is extraordinary both as a professional and on a human level, therefore, we will continue to sail with him in the future.

  • Do the cabins have a bathroom?
    • The boat has four cabins, the aft one has two beds and a bathroom, the forward two beds, the port and starboard cabins have a bunk bed with two beds each. There is another bathroom in the corridor that goes forward. Generally both bathrooms are shared by the entire crew.

  • How are the meals arranged?
    • After loading bags and luggage and distributing the cabins, a shopping list is made among the crew. You usually do your shopping in Alcampo or Mercadona, several come by car or taxi. A boat is made among the crew to pay for it, which must also take into account the skipper's food. Once the food was stowed, we went sailing. If something is missing then you can make an additional purchase in Ibiza and Formentera.
The crew members are the ones who organize themselves to prepare the meals. The skipper advises on the purchase according to his experience.
The boat has a small fridge for food, the ideal is to buy ice every day to cool everything that is drinks in an auxiliary fridge.
