Barcelona—Menorca Easter Week to Gain Trust and Miles

Easter week training trip sailing from Barcelona to Menorca, designed for those who want to earn real miles and gain confidence on board. We will practice sailing maneuvers, guards, cruise planning, night navigation, meteorology, safety, anchoring and basic notions of mechanics. An intensive open sea experience where you will actively participate in every decision and maneuver, learning in real conditions as we cross the Mediterranean to Menorca.

Plan

First day — Departure from Barcelona (12:00).

Tomorrow.

- 10:30 — 11:30 Onboard reception and stowage.

- 11:30 — 12:00 Safety briefing and guard distribution, Introduction to trip planning and meteorology.

- 12:00 Set sail.

Late.

- Sail adjustment and trimming.

- Convenient weather and heading reading.

Night.

- Start of offshore sailing.

- Rotating night guards.

- Navigation lights, traffic control and radar/AIS.

Second day — Arrival to Menorca.

- Approach strategy and choice of landing.

- Maneuvers under the engine and under sail.

- Anchoring practices (anchor, chain, references).

- Basic mechanical overhaul of the engine.

- Evaluation of the journey.

- Life on board on a long voyage.

Third day — Coastal sailing in Menorca.

- Maneuvers in tight spaces.

- Anchorages in different conditions.

- Practical use of nautical and electronic charts

- Real security and protocols.

- Coastal navigation with group decision-making.

Fourth day — Preparing for the return trip.

- Anchorage practices.

- Weather, summer, safety and mechanical review.

- Departure to Barcelona.

- Trimming of sails, guards, AIS, etc.

⛵ Fifth day — Last maneuvers and closing (arrival in the afternoon).

- Final maneuvering exercises.

- Port entry simulation.

- Final debriefing and resolution of doubts.

Other information

All crew members are welcome, even if they do not know the language spoken on board (english and spanish)

A minimum of 6 registrants is required to complete the activity. Food, diesel and ports (optional or due to bad weather) will be paid for with a common boat among the crew members.
