This week we take on the challenge of sailing from Lanzarote to Madeira. We will start with a short sail to La Graciosa to practice all the emergency and safety procedures before we set out into the Atlantic to find Madeira. Depending on weather we may stay an extra night in La Graciosa and go explore this amaing little gem further.
On this trip everybody gets involved in how and why we make the navigationel decisions to get a full insight on how ocean passages are planned and executed.

    Meet up on Saturday and get organized in our cabins. We make a nice dinner onboard and start takjing about our skills and expectation. Here we also discuss food preferences so nobody goes hungry during the trip.
    On Sunday morning we do last provisioning. Around noon we set off towards La Graciosa.
    Within next 36 hours, depending on what we find in weather forcast, we set off for Madeira. It's a 275 nautivcal miles passage, like with a mix of upwind and beam reach sailing.
    When we arrive, we will go to Calheta Marina.
