ITINERARY

MARCH 16: Boarding between 6:00 p.m. and 11:00 p.m., reception by the crew and distribution of cabins.
MARCH 17: Breakfast, safety briefing and navigation explanation.
We set sail in the morning to sail around the spectacular bay of Cadiz, heading out to sea to see La Caleta and returning to finish the day docking in the port of Rota and its beautiful town, with its enormous Spanish-American base. We will visit some of its typical popular wineries, seafood restaurants and go for a walk and tapas around this beautiful town in Cadiz.
18th MARCH: We leave Rota behind and make a few tacks heading towards Cadiz to start enjoying its carnival. We arrive at Puerto América and prepare to go out into the city. During the afternoon-evening, numerous groups will perform on the stages of Plaza Candelaria, San Francisco, La Viña and Calle América. In the Mentidero neighbourhood we can attend a circuit of ballad singers. The stages of La Viña, Plocia or Catedral continue their competitions with a large number of groups from the COAC.
MARCH 19: At 10:00-11:00 a.m. we have breakfast and plan our navigation. We set out to sail through the area to dock in El Puerto de Santa María, visit its streets, the church-castle of San Marcos built by Alfonso X El Sabio, the attached wine cellar, and have some tapas in the port.
At 18:00-19:00 h. we return to Cádiz to continue enjoying its carnivals. The Loreto neighbourhood organises its own carousel of choirs. The tablaos of La Viña and San Agustín celebrate the finals of their competitions, the La Viña neighbourhood celebrates its carousel of choirs, La Casa de Extremadura (Plaza de Argüelles) offers a free tasting of migas extremeñas. The Battle of Coplas will be held along the seafront, and in the old town the Cavalcade of Humour will go through the streets of the historic centre. The night is the time to enjoy the performances of the illegal chirigotas in the streets of the old town, but especially in the La Viña neighbourhood, around Palma Street and the Plaza del Tío de la Tiza.
MARCH 20: We have breakfast on the boat or in the port area, to set sail towards Puerto Sherry and disembark, check out and return the boat.
