Catamaran offshore sailing leg: Sardinia

In the summer of 2026, we are exploring the Greek islands north of Crete. We offer various two-week sailing holidays where you will actively participate, setting and furling sails, checking weather data, planning routes, operating navigation and radio equipment, setting and furling the furling genoa, Code Zero and wingaker/spinnaker, as well as taking at least one night watch.

A sailing trip for demanding sailors, but also for sailing license candidates who need to log sea miles.
NAUTICAL MILE CONFIRMATION:
We are happy to issue a certificate of nautical miles for all SKS, SSS and other sailing license candidates. This certificate describes your personal achievements on board the Lagoon 42, as well as the distance we covered.

They learn to sail a catamaran, setting and reefing the sails independently, and taking night watches. Weather and schedule permitting, guests receive a mini-catamaran training session: a short lesson on maneuvering with both engines.

Plan

Stage: Cagliari (Sardinia) > Mallorca: approx. 340 SM

We depart from the town of Marina Portus Karalis in the center of Cagliari. You will fly to Cagliari Airport. The city center is approximately 10 km from the airport. We will try to do some shopping on Saturday morning. We can then depart on Saturday afternoon and anchor off Pula or the beaches of Costa Chia.

Perhaps we'll make a detour to Carlo Forte before we start the crossing to Mallorca.

Along the way we can decide to head for Cala d'Or or the nature reserve on the east coast of Mallorca, or to sail directly to Palma de Mallorca.
In total, we sail approximately 300 nautical miles.

We are in Marina La Lonja, right on the main road, in front of Palma Cathedral. Getting a taxi or bus to the airport is easy.

Other information

All crew members are welcome, even if they do not know the language spoken on board (english and german)

The onboard cash box covers food for the crew and skipper, as well as overnight stays in one or two marinas. The owner and skipper cover fuel costs.
For this, participants deposit between €200 and €250 into the on-board cash box. The on-board cash box is managed by one of the participants.

Welcome to the catamaran Lagoon 42. The new generation of catamarans has even more comfort and is even better and easier to drive for charter customers. With the rig offset sternwards and the narrow mainsail, the Lagoon is easier to turn and when turning, the self-tacking jib automatically runs over a traveller rail to the new leeward side. Even when there is little wind, the 126 m² Wingaker headsail provides a lot of performance and can be sailed from downwind to upwind. During development, the focus was on reducing the unnecessary weight: injection processes for hulls with lower weight and the central arrangement of all heavy elements (stern centered rig, chain locker, water tanks, etc.). Nevertheless, the catamaran Lagoon 42 is not a lightweight, but it is rock solid.

Our B&G 12" navigation monitor with WiFi connection to wind and speed measuring devices, autopilot and the latest 4G radar system. Remote control via hand-held remote control from Salon. The information from the steering position navigation monitor is mirrored on the tablet on the navigation table. 4 king-size beds with individual toilet - shower cubicles. 3 x refrigerators and freezers in the salon and outside. Top safety equipment. 4.3m dinghi including 20 HP engine for 8+1 people. The Lagoon has 2 additional sails available for the catamaran catamaran training - sailing holiday cruise and deep sea sailing trips . A 69 m² Code Zero furling genoa for upwind to close wind shorts (65 to 180 degrees). And a Parasail 126 m² spinaker for downwind to half wind shorts (125 to 180 degrees).
