Lanzarote — Cape Verde Cruise | Elba 45 Catamaran — First stage around the world.
The first leg of our trip around the world continues sailing from Lanzarote to the archipelago of Cape Verde, a mythical destination on ocean routes. This stage represents a real leap to the Atlantic, leaving behind the European coast and heading to tropical latitudes. We will sail following a route very similar to the one that, for centuries, explorers and traders used to reach the New World.
You will be part of the crew on a continuous cruise of several days, with the opportunity to live and learn what it means to travel driven solely by the wind, away from the coast and surrounded by the sea in all directions. The Fountaine Pajot Elba 45 on which we will travel is a modern, stable and safe catamaran, perfect for tackling this type of voyage. Its large common areas, its protected bathtub and its private cabins with bathroom and shower guarantee comfort even in the midst of ocean navigation.
This voyage is also excellent training for those who, later on, want to make a transatlantic crossing, since it shares a large part of the conditions of an open ocean: constant winds, deep sea, navigation by guards and the need for good organization on board.
Who is this trip for?
For those who want to live the experience of the open sea and gradually enter ocean navigation. No previous experience is needed: you'll learn maneuvers, guards, sail trimming and meteorology. You'll have the opportunity to familiarize yourself with navigation equipment, understand route planning and experience the pace of life on board 24 hours a day.
