We meet on Saturday morning at 10:00 a.m. to introduce ourselves, get settled on the sailboat, do a safety briefing and finalize details. Afterwards, we will go shopping together and stow the boat on board with the entire crew. The plan is to set sail that same afternoon when we are ready and the boat is well stocked with water, provisions and fuel. We will set sail for Toulon in the south of France, with 187 nautical miles to go until we get there.
We will arrive in Toulon at dawn on Monday, where we will request a mooring to rest and stock up on more water, provisions and fuel, whenever necessary.
On Tuesday, at first light, we will set sail for the island of Corsica, heading south, through the Strait of Bonifacio. We will need to cover approximately 162 miles to reach our destination, where we will again request a mooring to rest and take on the necessary provisions. We will probably arrive early on Thursday, depending on the wind and the help it provides us.
Between Friday and Sunday, we will spend the days exploring coves and places that are worth visiting, and there are many.
On Monday afternoon, if the weather is favourable, we will head towards Barcelona, trying to sail along the coast of the south of France.
We will probably arrive at the Masnou port on Friday afternoon.
