Discover Menorca by sailboat

Sailing on a sailboat is a relaxing and at the same time adventurous way to discover Menorca and the other Balearic Islands.

I chose this navigation area to share with you the richness and diversity of the landscapes, the wild beauty of the inaccessible coves and the incredible clarity of the crystalline waters that give Menorca the title of "World Heritage Biosphere Reserve of the UNESCO".

The boat has two cabins with a large bed and a bed in the hallway so it is optimized for a family or two couples plus possibly a child.

Plan

The ideal proposed itinerary includes the complete tour of the island with overnight stops in the coves or ports. This project could suffer variations in relation to the direction and strength of the wind. The island of Menorca easily allows us to take refuge in the leeward sector if needed. There is also the possibility of staying in one of the protected ports during the week.

Other information

All crew members are welcome, even if they do not know the language spoken on board (italian and spanish)

At least 3 crew members are needed to make the departure.

Note: the price includes a kitchen of basic foods (e.g. pasta, rice, water, coffee, sugar...) for meat, fish and fresh fruit we will make a common expense by dividing the costs on the spot.

The beautiful island and seen from the sea an unforgettable trip. I lacked more hours of sailing without a motor, little space on the boat, in the bathtub it is difficult to be all together, too small, it is a sailboat of about 40 years old and outdated, although well preserved, the tiller rudder, not of wheel, the awning to protect from the sun very poor, we managed to go all the way around the island stopping in very beautiful coves.

If you are attracted to sailing and during your holidays you want to learn or improve your navigation skills, Mario is a true teacher. The boat, despite the years, is fine and will improve when the new awning is installed and it can be sailed with good shade. Both the route and the coves of Menorca are spectacular.
