This summer we are going to Sicily and the Aeolian Islands!

During the months of July and August we will sail through Sicily, the centre of the Mediterranean and the cradle of our civilisation.

Based in Palermo, a monumental city full of life and steeped in history, with the best Italian cuisine, we will enjoy sailing the peaceful Mediterranean Sea with its blue, crystal-clear waters and white sand beaches; visiting tourist towns such as Cefalú, until reaching the Aeolian Islands: Vulcano, Lipari, Stromboli... Wonderful islands where you can contemplate their impressive volcanoes and enjoy their cozy, small anchorages and ports, with their trattorias where you can enjoy their delicious and healthy Mediterranean food surrounded by the lively life of southern Italy.

Sail, learn and enjoy the sun, the sea and the most spectacular coves and beaches on a different holiday. Embark on the experience on a modern and spacious 50-foot sailboat with five double cabins and three bathrooms.

Join a sailing school where, in addition to enjoying a unique holiday, you can put your nautical knowledge into practice or get started on it during this holiday in which the skipper and instructor of the school will teach you practical sailing notions while you enjoy a unique holiday on an exceptional boat, participating in all the activities on board.

Plan

We will embark on Monday in Palermo at 12 noon and sail along the northern coast of Sicily, stopping at picturesque towns such as Cefalú, depending on the weather each week and taking advantage of the most favourable winds.

We will continue sailing to the Aeolian Islands to visit their volcanoes in Stromboli and Vulcano, where we will have the opportunity to see their fumaroles and lava eruptions. On the island of Lipari we will be able to visit its pretty capital with narrow streets and squares full of terraces and delicious restaurants, its beautiful cathedral and its interesting archaeological museum.

We will disembark the following Sunday at noon in Palermo.

In addition to discovering these extraordinary islands by sea, I recommend extending your stay for a few days to explore historic sites and visit other towns in Sicily: Taormina, Agrigento, Syracuse, Marsala...

Other information

All crew members are welcome, even if they do not know the language spoken on board (spanish)

There are fitted sheets and pillowcases on the sailboat, but don't forget to bring a summer jacket in case it gets chilly at night.

A common fund will be created among all crew members for provisions: breakfast, lunch, dinner, snacks, nibbles and drinks on board, as well as for the payment of fuel and moorings in ports, if applicable, and for the payment of final cleaning (Approx. 150/200 euros per person per week).

Totally recommended.
José María is an excellent boss, with a lot of experience, and more importantly, a great person. He is patient and knows how to explain and transmit his knowledge. His passion for the sea infects you.
As for the boat, it is very spacious and comfortable, well equipped, very well maintained and very clean.
