Weekly cruise / vacation schedule
First day: For boarding we are waiting for you on Monday morning at the port of Trapani starting at 14:00 to complete the boarding procedures and carry out the briefing. After settling in the cabins, we finally drop the moorings ... bow towards Levanzo! Taking a bath with friends will be our first approach to this wonderful experience.
Second day: kissed by the sun we prepare the cockpit table and start the day with a rich breakfast and with Levanzo as background; we spend the morning swimming and diving in the splendid waters of "Cala Minnula", "Cala Fredda", "Cala Dogana", "Cala Tramontana", etc .. We can also organize a small excursion to the Grotta del Genovese (an important testimony of Paleolithic rock art on the island of Levanzo). We open the sails and sail west, after about 12 miles we find ourselves in front of the island of Marettimo, the wildest and most unspoiled of the Egadi islands; for our eyes it will be a mix of rocky coasts that plunge into a Caribbean sea. Let's sharpen our eyes: if we are lucky we will see a dolphin or maybe a monk seal! We drop anchor under the imposing promontory of the island and get ready for an aperitif at sunset in front of the famous castle of Punta Troia.
Third day: We dedicate the morning to visit the bays of “Scalo Maestro,“ Cala Manione ”and“ Praia Nacchi ”to do some snorkeling among the fish of the reserve. In the afternoon, now fully satisfied by the sun and the sea, we head towards the port of Marettimo. It will be wonderful to be surprised by the sunset over the sea from the suggestive "Roman Houses" .... or simply sitting while enjoying an aperitif on the boat. The village of Marettimo will be the ideal place to restore the palate by dining in one of its characteristic restaurants.
Fourth day: The more intrepid can choose to explore the island also from the ground through the path that climbs under the shadow of the Mediterranean scrub towards the ridge of "Carcaredda". Alternatively, you can visit the sea caves full of stalactites and emerald water reachable only on board of small local boats. In the afternoon, between edges and jibes alternating at the commands of the boat, we will head towards the island of Favignana, where to choose the most suitable bay to spend the night at anchor under a starry sky and the rustle of the background waves.
Fifth day: put on a mask and snorkel to dive into the transparencies of “Cala Rotonda” and “Baia del Preveto”. We circumnavigate the island reaching “Cala Azzurra” and “Lido Burrone”. The port of the island will be our destination in the afternoon to be able to moor in the marina and go ashore comfortably; in the evening we can get lost in the alleys of the town in search of a restaurant in the true island style.
Sixth day: the best way to start the day is to refresh your palate with a granita with brioche in one of the many bars in the square and continue with a visit to the Tonnara Florio, one of the oldest Sicilian tuna traps. We will be captivated by the history of this place, by the explanation of how the tuna are caught and processed. A small lesson in the history of work, rituals and gastronomic tradition in Sicily. We finally leave the moorings to head to what is perhaps the symbol of Favignana: “Cala Rossa”, tuff caves overlooking a sea with turquoise waters. It will be a perfect view to toast this holiday once again! We will sleep in the harbor under an uncontaminated sky capable of giving a firmament of stars among the most beautiful in the Mediterranean.
Seventh day: after a nice breakfast in the cockpit, it's time to make the last dives among the fish that shine on the white sand bottom. We then say goodbye to Favignana and head the bow towards the Trapani marina where we plan to dock in the morning. We will already feel the nostalgia of the sun and salt in our hair, of unforgettable sunsets and of the most beautiful bays in the Mediterranean. It is time to say goodbye and to put the memory of an unforgettable experience inside the luggage.
