This transfer from the magnificent island of Milos to the equally beautiful island of Lefkada is a true offshore sailing experience with longer distances than a typical sailing holiday, if necessary some navigations could also be at night.

The itinerary is designed to combine sailing and visits to beautiful places such as the Peloponnese with Byzantine Monemvasia, the picturesque port of Porto Kagio and the beautiful bay of Methoni with its castle, then we will land in the Ionian having the opportunity to visit Zakynthos with its incredible waters and then finish in Lefkada (Nidri).

Who is this experience suitable for:
This week being a transfer includes long navigations, if necessary some could also be at night, it is therefore dedicated to lovers of sailing, to those who want to practice and test themselves or simply live an experience different from the usual sailing holiday, which will certainly give you unique emotions, it is however necessary to have even a minimal knowledge of the sailing boat.

The itinerary is to be considered as a rough guide and will depend on the weather and sea conditions, however we will have the opportunity to visit our landing places and make pleasant swimming stops in crystal clear waters.

Plan

Boarding by 3.00 pm on Monday in Adamas (Milos), accommodation in the assigned cabin, short briefing and then we immediately set off for a short stretch of navigation towards Kleftiko where we will spend the night at anchor between clear waters and a magical landscape.

The following day we will leave early in the morning towards the Peloponnese to reach Monemvasia, a delightful village of Byzantine origin built on a narrow and mountainous peninsula that juts out into the sea and whose visit will be unmissable!

The following morning, if the weather is good, we will bypass the famous Cape Maleas and then head for Elafonissos where we will be captivated by the turquoise waters and the white beach of Frangos Bay, we will take beautiful baths in the turquoise waters and we will be able to explore this small island, spending the night at anchor.
We continue our navigation towards the Ionian Sea and today we will stop at another unmissable anchorage, Porto Kagio in the Mani peninsula where we will find a quiet and safe dock where we can spend the night.

Today we will sail to Methoni where we will anchor in front of its beautiful castle, here we will enjoy the lights of a beautiful sunset, the following day we prepare to cross the Ionian with a crossing that will take us to the island of Zakynthos.

The following day will be dedicated to exploring Zakynthos and its bays made of white rocks overlooking a sea of an incredible color and a stop at the "Shipwreck Beach" for the ritual photo will be a must! We will spend the night in the quiet port of Agios Nikolaos.

On our last day of sailing we will set sail for Ithaca for a stop for swimming and lunch in a beautiful bay and then continue sailing towards Lefkada where we will land in the late afternoon in the port of Nidri, here we will enjoy a last evening in a typical tavern toasting our feat, disembarkation will be the following day by 9.00 am

How does the common fund work?
We do not use a common fund but a convenient COMFORT PACK of € 180.00 as a flat rate (per person per week to be paid in cash upon boarding) for the cost of the galley which includes breakfasts, lunches, 3 dinners on board, soft drinks, beer and 3 bottles of white wine, final cleaning, fuel, taxes, moorings, water and gas;

Excluded: Additional bottles of wine, prosecco and spirits

How to reach us?
Milos has no direct connections with Italy but it will be necessary to fly to Athens, Santorini or Mykonos, from Athens you can opt for one of the many ferries departing from Piraeus or for the internal flight to Milos managed by Sky express, Aegean or Olympic, from Santorini and Mykonos instead it will be necessary to take a ferry, Seajets is the company that offers the fastest transfers.

Lefkada is served by the very close airport of Preveza (Aktio) which is only 21 km away and can be reached with direct flights from Milan Malpensa, Milan Bergamo, Bologna, Rome Fiumicino and Naples, there are also countless flights to the other major Ionian islands: Corfu, Kefalonia and Zakynthos connected to each other by an efficient ferry service.

You can also reach Lefkada by ferry departing from Ancona, Bari or Brindisi to Igoumenitsa from here you can then continue the journey by bus or taxi.

Boat details

Our sailboat is a bit like our home and is particularly comfortable and habitable, there are 3 large double cabins available to guests: an incredibly generously sized master cabin in the bow and two double aft cabins, a cabin is reserved for the crew with bunk beds, there are also 2 large bathrooms and a cozy dinette that can comfortably accommodate 8/10 people.
Outside, it offers a comfortable cockpit protected by a sprayhood and awning, seats equipped with cushions and an extendable table that allow you to enjoy lunches and dinners at anchor. The stern swimming platform is equipped with a shower with hot and cold water and at your disposal SUPs, inflatables , masks and fins.

In 2019 our sailboat underwent a refit becoming even more comfortable and welcoming:
Inside, new cushions, reading lights and USB sockets in each cabin to charge your devices.
Outside, new sprayhood, awning, cockpit cushions and very comfortable hammock and sunbathing mattresses in the bow.
Complete equipment with CD stereo, GPS, VHF, dinghy with outboard engine, autopilot, electric windlass, hot water, solar panels.
