Experience an exciting mile-long cruise from Málaga to the Canary Islands – a route that combines true offshore sailing, navigation along the Moroccan coast, and relaxed island hopping. Sailing pleasure is guaranteed with our large and fast Hanse 575 GALINI! We'll take advantage of the northeast trade winds, plan the route according to the weather, experience night sailing on the Atlantic, and decelerate from everyday life. After the crossing, there's plenty of time to enjoy the Canary Islands with island hopping, swimming, snorkeling, and shore excursions.
Upon request, the crew can arrange a detour to Gibraltar or Tangier in Morocco after departing Málaga. This vibrant port city at the gateway to Africa captivates with its historic medina, colorful markets, and a unique blend of Arabic, French, and Spanish culture. Tangier is only about 120 nautical miles from Málaga, offers modern marinas, and is an exciting starting point for shore excursions, excursions, or simply a taste of the Orient before the Atlantic cruise. From here, the cruise continues through the Strait of Gibraltar and out into the Atlantic.

Highlights
- Málaga – Andalusian port city with flair and ideal crew change
- Gibraltar or Tangier – Morocco's gateway to Africa, oriental old town, colorful markets and modern marina
- Strait of Gibraltar – Legendary strait between Europe and Africa
- Several days in a row on the Atlantic
- Lanzarote – volcanic landscape and picturesque bays
- Fuerteventura – Endless beaches and dunes
- Gran Canaria – Lively island and destination port

territory
Late autumn is the best time to travel this Atlantic crossing. The route offers an exciting mix of coastal sailing, blue water sailing, and island hopping. We first sail along the Moroccan coast, with a stopover in Tangier possible. Along the way, there's a high chance of spotting dolphins and whales. The mix of culture, historical sites, challenging navigation, and the vastness of the Atlantic makes this section one of the most fascinating cruising areas anywhere.

  • Plan
Our adventure begins in Málaga, where we set sail after boarding and a detailed safety briefing. After provisions and final preparations, there is the option of crossing to Tangier and enjoying the oriental atmosphere there. We then set sail through the famous Strait of Gibraltar – here we can expect busy shipping traffic and strong currents. As soon as we leave the traffic separation scheme, we set course for the open Atlantic. We spend the next few days at sea, taking advantage of the constant northeast trade winds and experiencing onboard routine, navigation, and night watches. After about 650 nautical miles, we reach Lanzarote, the easternmost of the Canary Islands. Here we enjoy a swim stop, explore the volcanic landscape, or relax on the beaches. We continue to Fuerteventura, where we have time for shore excursions, swimming, and excursions. Our final leg takes us to Gran Canaria – en route, we can stop for a swim in a secluded bay before we dock in Las Palmas and end the trip with the Canarian joie de vivre.

Our Galini is cruising the world – and you can be part of it! With us, you're not an anonymous guest on a standard itinerary, but part of a real crew discovering new horizons together. We're not a classic charter company that runs the same tour every week. Instead, we sail together, experience true boating life, and embrace the adventures the sea has in store for us.
Climb aboard a beautifully equipped, lovingly maintained boat and enjoy something special: Nothing is off-the-shelf with us. Every trip is unique – sometimes spontaneous, sometimes planned, always full of surprises. Unplanned experiences are just as much a part of it as relaxing days on deck.
Want more than just a sail? We'll take care of the technical aspects of the onboard, and you can get involved yourself if you'd like. You can also turn this vacation cruise into a true long-distance yacht experience and become part of life at sea.
Our trips combine vacation, adventure, mindfulness, and authentic boating. Become part of our crew and experience a special time on Galini – authentic, communal, and full of adventure.

    Wind & Climate
In November, the northeast trade winds usually blow steadily at 3–5 Beaufort (10–20 knots). Temperatures range from 20–25°C during the day and 15–20°C at night. The water, at 20–23°C, is pleasant for swimming. It is mostly dry, with occasional rain showers possible. The Atlantic Ocean has long swells (1–2 m) and generally offers good visibility and clear nights for astronavigation.
