The central Mediterranean is a sailing area full of diversity. The route takes us through the Tyrrhenian Sea along the Sicilian coast, over the Aeolian Islands to the Ionian Sea. In July the conditions are ideal: temperatures are between 28-32 °C, with a water temperature of around 24-26 °C. The prevailing wind usually blows from the west or north-west at 3-5 Bft., which guarantees a pleasant sailing experience.

Plan

Our adventure begins in Palermo, the vibrant capital of Sicily. After a relaxed start, we sail to the Aeolian Islands, a volcanic archipelago with unique nature. Here we can experience spectacular sunsets, visit the hot springs of Vulcano and marvel at the active volcano Stromboli.
From there we set course for the Ionian Islands, where crystal clear waters and picturesque Greek villages await us. We anchor in sheltered bays and enjoy the unspoiled nature. Finally we reach Kefalonia, the largest of the Ionian Islands, known for its stunning beaches and azure sea5.
This cruise combines adventure, relaxation and the beauty of the Mediterranean into an unforgettable travel experience.

Wind & Climate:
The sailing area between Palermo and Kefalonia offers great conditions for an unforgettable cruise in July. The Tyrrhenian and Ionian Seas spoil us with warm temperatures, clear skies and consistent winds that make sailing pleasant and relaxing.
Wind: The prevailing wind usually blows from the west or northwest with a force of 3-5 Bft, which makes for perfect sailing conditions.
Air temperature: Average 28–32 °C, with warm nights around 22–24 °C – ideal for enjoying the evenings on deck.
Water temperature: Average 24–26 °C, perfect for swimming, snorkeling and cooling off in the bays.
The stable weather in July guarantees sunny days and very rare short rain showers. The Mediterranean conditions make this season the best time to discover the beauty of Sicily, the Aeolian Islands and the Ionian Islands.

All crew members are welcome, even if they do not know the language spoken on board (english and german)

+ On-board cash of approx. €250 per person per week for food, shopping, internet, deposit insurance, port fees, diesel, etc. The skipper is usually provided for according to old tradition.

Our yacht, a Hanse, stands for a comfortable and outstanding experience. It gives you a feeling of spaciousness, a calm atmosphere and offers the freedom you need for your activities. Nevertheless, it is fast, sporty and has great sailing performance. It was designed by Volvo Ocean Race Designers and is the fastest yacht in its class.

The large cockpit offers enough space for pleasant get-togethers and long conversations with a breathtaking panoramic view. On the sun deck you can be alone, take the time to read a book or enjoy the nature around you. The skipper's cabin has its own entrance. Even if you are supported by a professional crew, you still have your privacy.

The yacht is a modern Hanse 575. It has 4 double cabins and a cabin for the skipper. Each cabin has its own bathroom with electric toilet. Starlink, multi media, air conditioning, generator, 230 V in all cabins and Nespresso coffee machine. Solar panels, radar, AIS, watermaker, washing machine, bathing platform and a dinghy with an electrically powered outboard motor. Comprehensive safety and navigation equipment as well as many other equipment that you need to be self-sufficient.
