We are going to make a magnificent voyage from Sardinia to Castellón where we will combine learning, good food, swimming, culture, a good time and good company.

The first three days we will sail along the west coast of Sardinia, discovering unique places until we reach the city of Alghero.

From there, we will set sail for Castellón. We will sail 380 mn at a stretch, during which time we will learn to cook and eat while sailing, to keep watch, to steer the boat safely, to identify boats at night, we will see turtles and dolphins, nocturnal phytoplankton if there is no moon, we will learn astronomy, astronomical navigation, celestial mechanics and we will identify the stars in the firmament.

This is the fourth and final leg of a longer journey around the island. You can view and book the rest of the legs through Sailwiz:
- Stage 1: from Castellón to Sardinia.
- Stage 2: northeast of Sardinia.
- Stage 3: South Sardinia.

Day 1: Boarding at Porto di Buggerru at 11:00 and heading to Portixeddu, a beach that is surrounded by mountains and Mediterranean vegetation, offering an idyllic landscape and a unique feeling of isolation. The area is surrounded by mountains such as Monte Linas and Monte Arcuentu. Then, we will go to Oristano, with a welcoming population, it is known for its medieval history, traditional festivals and its breathtaking landscapes. Its historic center has: the Torre di Mariano II (or Tower of San Cristoforo), which is one of the symbols of the city, a medieval tower that was part of the ancient walls; the Cathedral of Santa Maria Assunta, built in the 13th century and remodeled in later times, stands out for its baroque architecture and its imposing dome. Here we will drop anchor, swim, have dinner and spend the night.

Day 2: In the morning, we will move to Area Archeologica di Tharroso, one of the most important historical sites in Sardinia, located on the Sinis peninsula, near the town of Cabras and not far from Oristano. This ancient settlement, founded by the Phoenicians around the 8th century BC, offers a fascinating journey through the history of the island; it has been inhabited by various civilizations over the centuries, including Punic, Roman and Byzantine cultures. Here we will see remains of Phoenician-Punic and Roman temples, showing the diversity of cults practiced in the city. The Roman Columns: two iconic columns still standing, offer a breathtaking view against the backdrop of the Mediterranean Sea. Here we will spend the whole day at anchor and the night.

Day 3: In the morning, we will go to Bosa, one of the most charming towns in Sardinia, on the banks of the Temo River, the only navigable river in Sardinia, and if we have time, we will go down it. This strange town combines history, vibrant colors and a spectacular natural environment, making it an unmissable destination. In the afternoon, we will go to Alghero, one of the most beautiful cities in Sardinia, known as "the Barceloneta of Sardinia". Alghero has a strong Catalan heritage that is reflected in its language, architecture and traditions. This destination combines a charming historic center, stunning beaches and a Mediterranean atmosphere that makes it unique. This will be the last dinner in Sardinia.

Days 4, 5, and 6: Finally, early in the morning, we will head to Castellón for 3 days and 380 nautical miles, carrying out the same activities stipulated in the outbound trip of the “First Week”.

Day 7: Arrival at the Castellón Nautical Club and end of the crossing.

With Jaime we have learned a lot about sailing. Skipper very concerned about safety on board. Special mention of the food: exquisite. About Columbretes: spectacular location, although you can only go down to the island for the 1-hour guided tour. The night in the busy bay, the boat moved a lot.

I am very happy to have had the opportunity to meet Jaime and to receive his sailing lessons. His way of teaching is based on us understanding the reason for things and it is really very valuable. The principles that Jaime applies to every decision the captain makes on board are already with me. Highly recommended

It has been an incredible and unforgettable experience. A lot of dedication to the preparation of an exquisite and very original meal, Jaime's patience when it comes to teaching us about sailing and his way of telling it is on another level. We had to share it with an excellent group of people and the Columbretes are beautiful.
