Sailing from Ibiza to Malta

A true offshore crossing in the heart of the Mediterranean, designed for those who want to experience sailing in an authentic way, following the wind and sharing life on board during several days of open sea and overnight sailing. Approximately 750 miles between Malta, Sardinia, and the Balearics aboard a comfortable vessel with four cabins and private heads, equipped to handle a variety of wind and sea conditions thanks to full offshore sailing equipment. The experience will focus primarily on sailing and navigation, experiencing the rhythm of the sea between shifts, sunsets, sunrises at sea, and long hours blown by the wind in the Mediterranean.

Plan

Departure from Malta on June 9th and arrival in Ibiza by the evening of the 13th, approximately 650 miles with night navigation. The crossing will stop in Cagliari or Carloforte on the island of Sant'Antioco. From Sardinia to Minorca approximately 300 NM, the equivalent of 40 hours of navigation without stops. The last leg between the islands is 140 NM just to arrive in time on the evening of the 13th. The boat is equipped with a genoa, staysail and storm jib, which allows it to sail in almost any wind and sea conditions. All safety equipment including EPIRB, liferaft for 8 people, AIS and sea anchor.

All crew members are welcome, even if they do not know the language spoken on board (english and italian)

It is a demanding crossing, those who also want a more relaxing holiday can stay another week at the same price as the crossing.
