Sailing trip from Gran Canaria to Cape Verde

Sail with us from the wonderful island of Gran Canaria, heading south through the majestic waters of the Atlantic to reach the spectacular archipelago of Cape Verde.

Specifically, we will arrive at the island of Sal, an incredible place with unique landscapes that breathes Africa wherever you look.

On this trip you will learn the concepts of ocean navigation and route planning. In addition, you will be immersed in the dynamics of the Atlantic on a safe and very fast sailboat.

If you wish to continue sailing, we will continue this trip with the crossing of the Atlantic from Cape Verde to the Dominican Republic.

Plan

Departure from Gran Canaria, port of the northern dock, at 10:00 on Saturday morning (the day before, the crew will be accommodated, as well as the loading of belongings and provisions).

We head south in search of the prevailing NW - NE winds seeking the latitude of Cape Verde, until the island of Sal, where we will arrive after 7 days of ocean navigation.

Once in Cape Verde, we will be able to enjoy the island for another 3 days and soak up insular Africa and its particular characteristics, before disembarking and putting an end to the adventure.

Beautiful fast and safe sailboat, perfectly conditioned for ocean crossings, it has 2 complete cabins, 1 independent bathroom with toilet, shower and sink, living room for 10 people, complete kitchen with 2 refrigerators and fully equipped, clear and wide deck to take the sun and enjoy the sea as well as a comfortable and safe bathtub to enjoy sailing or eat with views of a beautiful cove... it also has a bathing platform with access to the sea and a bathing ladder to enjoy a good bath.

The boat includes pneumatic and outboard as well as all the regulatory safety equipment, this being reviewed annually as well as the boat itself, carrying out routine and exhaustive controls of it and its equipment.

The boat is always skippered by the owner and an assistant sailor.
