Sailing week in the Tuscan Archipelago

Sailboat cruise along Elba and the Tuscan Archipelago respecting the sea and nature.

Aeolus will give us directions to sail in the most appropriate stretch of water and we will try to learn the seafaring art. Shave in wonderful coves and baths to explore the seabed, but also the possibility to go ashore to visit unique places or simply to take a walk, drink an aperitif at sunset or have dinner.

Plan

Welcome at board! Here is the program I have designed for you:

First day: galley. Departure from Portoferraio, from 16:00 to 18:00. Rada a tendril for a swim in the crystal clear waters or bay in Marciana Marina.

Second day: Island of Capraia. Possibility to go ashore. Night at anchor or in port.

Third day: from Capraia we go to Fetovaia to admire the splendid beach, and if the weather is favorable, we stop to see the wreck in Pomonte.

Fourth day: Isola del Giglio, 40 miles, hoping to fish. Arrival at anchor in Campese, swimming and snorkeling.

Fifth day: we circumnavigate the Giglio Islands, stopping in some bay and returning to the Island of Elba, in the town of Portoazzurro.

Sixth day: we sail up to Cavo where we anchor in the harbor.

Seventh day: we return to Portoferraio and disembark from around 10:00 to 12:00.

Other information

The extra expenses for the whole week amount to about € 150/200, including galley, port of departure, diesel oil, etc.

It is recommended a non-rigid luggage and bring some clothing for the cold and for the rain, in case of bad weather during the holiday, such as a waxed jacket / windproof jacket. A powerbank never hurts.

The city of Portoferraio can be reached from Piombino by ferry every 45 minutes approximately. The time is from 5 in the morning until 22:30 in the evening.

Boat details

Gran soleil 39 was x years the queen of Italian boats also called the Italian swan. Very marine boat also suitable for large crossings x its sturdiness. Important impulses differentiate it from other boats in its category. A large and comfortable cockpit allows for easy maneuvers. Going down we have the chart table and the kitchen. The large dinette gives the possibility of having three beds and a large table. The very bright and airy aft master cabin also has a bathroom. At the bow we have another walk-in closet and another bathroom. The third cabin also aft has two staggered beds. Overall the boat is very wide which involves a lot of liveability and at the same time it also has an excellent height inside. Over the years several refetings have been made, both on deck, rigging still chain, and in the interior, recent engine steel tanks, mattresses, cushions. The boat has always been updated.
