Transatlantic San Miguel (Tenerife) → Caribbean (Martinique) ~3,000 nautical miles
What could be more beautiful than crossing the Atlantic on a sailing yacht at the best time of year? We'll sail from the south of Tenerife, right in the heart of the Canary Islands, across the Atlantic. Here, we'll enjoy the vastness and spend our day together on board. We'll sail on a watch system and cater for ourselves. Whether we stop in Cape Verde depends on wind and weather. Our final destination is the Caribbean island of Martinique. Those who wish can continue sailing with us from there to Grenada or the British Virgin Islands.

Our fleet is fully equipped and no more than three years old. They are Lagoon catamarans between 42 and 51 feet long, designed for offshore use. On board are a desalination plant, generator, downwind sails, autopilot, electronic navigation equipment, radio systems, solar panels, refrigerators, freezers, satellite emergency beacons, and everything else we need for ocean passage. Our fleet crosses the Atlantic every year.

Cruise highlights
• The unique feeling of blue water sailing, surrounded for weeks by nothing but sea and horizon.
• Breathtaking night skies, free from light pollution, with countless shooting stars.
• Encounters with dolphins, flying fish and possibly whales.
• Daily alternation between watch times, setting sail, navigating and relaxed life on board.
• Harmonious coexistence on board and mastering all challenges together.
• Practical learning of deep-sea techniques and modern navigation.
• Fascinating sunrises and sunsets and glowing plankton at night.
• Impressive encounters with the cultures and histories of the islands visited.
• The triumphant feeling of making landfall in the Caribbean after weeks at sea – an unforgettable moment.

Transatlantic San Miguel (Tenerife) → Caribbean (Martinique) ~3,000 nautical miles
    Tenerife -> Caribbean (Martinique) 30.10.2025-22.11.2025

Our yachts arrive in Tenerife from Croatia, Mallorca, or Ibiza. We dock at the Marina Amarilla in San Miguel de Albona, very close to Tenerife South Airport. We board on October 30, 2025. On the first, or maybe even the second, day, we shop and stock up on provisions. Enormous quantities of water and food have to be stowed. Then we give a safety briefing, and discuss everything important.

Depending on wind and weather, we'll set off south on October 31st or shortly thereafter. Whether the yacht will stop in the Cape Verde Islands will be decided en route and depends on the weather and other factors. We'll then set course for Martinique and follow the Barefoot Route. We'll probably arrive in Martinique around November 22nd, 2025. Some of our yachts will sail on from here toward Grenada or the British Virgin Islands. Please let us know if you're interested.

Join us on a catamaran for an Atlantic crossing, and even in the weeks before, from Mallorca to Tenerife.

Other information
All crew members are welcome, even if they do not know the language spoken on board (english and german)

Everyone is responsible for their own transportation to and from the ship, and meals are paid for from a shared onboard fund. There are no diesel costs on this cruise. Since ocean cruises are always subject to the goodwill of the ship's crew, we recommend booking flexible return tickets or booking seafarer fares, for which we will gladly issue a certificate.

My sailing and sports boat school is in the middle of Berlin. Here you will learn to sail, drive a motorboat and radio, as well as prepare for a trip on the high seas.
I have been passionately running the sailing school with my team since 2006.

A great sailing and water sports school. I obtained my SBF-See, SBF-Binnen/Segel and UBI/SRC here. Friendly, patient trainers who use their experience and skills to get you to the required exam level. Despite the training, there is still plenty of fun and they take the time to respond to special requests/concerns. I would love to come back here to broaden my maritime horizons.

The theory compact course (in my case SBF Inland) is really very good and prepares you ideally for the exam and beyond.
I also really liked the friendly trainers during the practical training sessions. This meant I was able to pass both exams straight away.

Very good preparation for the exam and future sailing experiences. You can see that all the trainers are very passionate about what they do.
There are always reports of experiences and additional theoretical background on all exam-relevant topics, so that you feel very well prepared the first time you are alone on the boat.

I just did my SBF inland sailing/motor here.
Great people, pleasant atmosphere. The teachers are easy-going, but still competent and can show you what is important when sailing.
If you don't feel completely confident with certain maneuvers, just ask. There is no rigid curriculum that has to be followed. You can decide for yourself where you need more practice.
As you gain experience, you will spend some time on board with just other students. This helps you to feel responsible for the boat and the maneuvers and to coordinate with the other students. But don't worry, a boat with a teacher is always nearby if something goes wrong or you have any questions.
