Regatta El Gallo in Getxo from Santander

We will participate again in the El Gallo regatta, organized by the Real Club Marítimo del Abra and Real Sporting Club de Getxo on this occasion for December 17. To do this, we will leave Santander on Friday late in the afternoon, to return again on Sunday.

After the regatta, which starts at 12:00, there is a fellowship meal among all the participants of the event, about 80 boats. The price of this meal is €30, which is paid directly to the organizers.

Plan

Port of Departure: Marina Deportiva de Santander. We will be at the port on Friday from 17:00. Once embarked, we will have dinner early at a port restaurant.

Arrival at the port of Getxo around 08:00 on Saturday, breakfast on board and preparation of the boat for the regatta.

Departure of the race at 12:00.

Return to Santander: depending on the weather conditions, we would leave on the same Saturday afternoon or Sunday morning.

Other information

All crew members are welcome, even if they do not know the language spoken on board (spanish)

Friday dinner, breakfast and pecking on board, both Saturday and Sunday, will be assumed equally by everyone, advancing the money and then apportioning it at the end.

If you arrive in Santander by public transport, we will pick you up and take you to the ship.

Sailboat cruising, comfortable, elegant, of the year 2007 but completely revised in 2018. I sailed on it from the Baltic Sea to Santander during the month of January and February, and has behaved extraordinarily. It has diesel heating, roller shutters, a large bathtub with bimini and hood.

The navigation with Jesús and Fran was perfect. They are very good patterns. They made me feel very comfortable and enjoy the journey on the Klaudia.
