Sailing trip to the island of Cabrera (Mallorca) on the October …

Friday at approximately 18:00 we met on the sailboat to do safety briefings and distribute cabins.

Route planning, weather forecast and navigation plan with night guards.

We will head to the island of Cabrera in the south of Mallorca at approximately 19:00.

The purchases of food and drinks on board will have been made by the captain in the previous days to facilitate the departure and comfort of the participants.

Arrival to the island of Cabrera, which is a nature reserve. Visiting in October is ideal to avoid the overcrowding of summer.

Visit to the port of Andratx.

On Sunday afternoon, at approximately 19:00 we will head to Barcelona again, to the Masnou port.

Arrival at the port and farewell.

Plan

Friday:

We meet on the boat at 18:00, we will make an introduction, safety briefing and get settled in the cabins.

Around 19:00 we will make a navigation plan and head to Cabrera Island in the south of Mallorca.

We'll do night guards in pairs. The skipper will always sleep in the bathtub to be aware of any circumstances that may arise during the guards.

Saturday:

Arriving in Cabrera around noon, it will always depend on whether the wind arrives sooner or later.

Lunch on board and we will disembark to visit the nature reserve as long as we are authorized to do so.

At night, we will sleep in buoys or anchored.

Sunday:

Visit to the port of Andratx and the city,

We will have supplied the sailboat with water and fuel.

In the afternoon, around 18:00, we will take anchor and head to the base port in El Masnou, Barcelona. :

Arrival in the afternoon and farewell.

Other information

All crew members are welcome, even if they do not know the language spoken on board (catalan, english and spanish)

A 160 euro boat will be made for food and drinks on board, moorings and fuel.

Boat details

The sailboat is fully equipped to navigate the Mediterranean, with AIS, radar, radio beacon, life raft for 10 people, autopilot, solar panel. Approved to navigate in zone 2 60 miles from the coast. Sailboat completely restored with new ropes and sails. Kitchen and refrigerator, and consists of four double cabins and two bathrooms.

Domingo is friendly, but the journey was lacking. We miss the functions of an ordinary cook. The trip was offered with this included and his tasks, which were taken over by the boss, were limited to defrosting 4 meals (he did not prepare breakfast or dinner). Tb, deficiencies with respect to the knowledge of the coves.

The experience in Menorca was nice and the captain was close, although the cleanliness was a point to improve: bathrooms, kitchen and living room were barely serviced, and one day flies even appeared for not picking up food. It would also be good to organize meals better and to be updated in the choice of coves.

Regarding the cleaning of common areas, it is the obligation of the passage to keep the common spaces clean, I have already sent you video tutorials on how to keep them that way.
