Sailing weekend in the blue sea of the Island of Elba

The style of the holiday is structured around sailing as much as possible, making guests learn the basics of navigation, trying to convey my true passion for sailing to everyone present.

It is not necessary to have experience with sailing or to have already sailed, with the desire to collaborate and the right spirit, this weekend will be perfect for learning the basics and spending wonderful holidays.

All navigation will be accompanied by moments of pure relaxation and good food, as well as the discovery of wonderful places on the Island of Elba that only our seas can offer us. For those who want, trekking can be organized in the various places that can be reached.

For those wishing to change departure dates or to extend the weekend by a few days, contact the skipper.

Plan

The activity will last 3 days, sailing on Friday morning and returning to the departure port on Sunday.

Check-in boarding: from 9:00 to 11:00.
Check-out disembarkation: from 12:00 to 20:00.

Friday: departure from the port of Piombino Mat by 11 am. We sail for 5-6 hours towards Porto Azzurro, we stop in a cove (Ortano, Barba Rossa) and we decide whether to spend the night in the port or at anchor. We will have lunch and dinner on board.

Saturday: sailing towards Porto Ferraio or Marciana Marina with a stop at Viticcio where you will have lunch on board. In the evening you will enter the port to have dinner in some typical restaurant of the area.

Sunday: walk in the village and departure for Piombino by 4 pm. Once we arrive at our destination we should say goodbye.

If it rains, we decide on the spot what to do, always taking into account the state of the sea, the destinations can change based on the weather, if the conditions allow we can decide the various stages together.

Other information

All crew members are welcome, even if they do not know the language spoken on board (italian and spanish)

The port can be reached by car, with secure, free parking available inside, or by train, with the station just 5 km from the port.

Don't bring trolleys on board, but bring convenient storage bags. Bring sheets and a sleeping bag, a towel, and winter clothing (windbreaker or raincoat, gloves, and shoes with white soles for use on the boat only).

Children are welcome on board.

Extra costs: food, mooring fees, fuel. (From 50 to 100 euros)

The Grand Soleil 39 is a cruising-racing sailboat produced by the Italian shipyard Cantiere del Pardo. Designed by Alain Jezequel in the early 1990s, she is known for her excellent balance between performance and comfort.
