LIVING AND LIVING ON BOARD OF A SAILBOAT
At first you will be a bit on the lookout and you will meet a series of people who will not know anything. It is normal, but you will see that after the presentations and with the first activity in common, the purchase of food and drink, with some already seem to be friends of a lifetime. Once on board again, with the first hours of navigation, dinner and guard, in addition to the arrival to the islands, we will all be like a great family.
During the stay in the sailboat we will have to help at specific moments to the skipper in some maneuvers. Both on the way out and on the return, during the night crossing we will distribute the guard. This task is something that any crew member can perform without difficulty.
There are always those who are involved and are more interested in navigation. This is a good opportunity to learn to navigate, since at some point you can take the helm under the supervision of the skipper.
Remember that we will be a team: we will make the meals, we will put and we will collect the table, we will maintain the communal areas of the sailboat ordered and stowed to avoid trips, breakages and falls of objects to the sea. We do not usually distribute tasks unless the crew so indicates, since in a natural way everyone ends up getting involved in them.
Very important aspects:
- The saving in the consumption of fresh water. The water tanks are limited and if we are going to refuel we will lose a lot of time.
- To use the toilet, follow the instructions for use and never throw away any paper or anything else that might bind it.
- Do not get wet inside. In this way, we can prevent possible slips.
- Remove the sand from the feet and towels before getting on board when we return from the beach.
- Avoid getting on board with shoes that could damage or stain the cover.
Sailing on a sailboat is very good for our mood, since it supposes an injection of vitamins and a positive energy charge, it means putting the rhythm of your life at the speed of the wind and we can assure you that this is an incredible sensation. Your stress and your problems remain on the ground, your mind will open and you will enjoy as never before the sunsets and sunrises, the baths and the direct contact with nature. Enjoy and live the experience to make this trip unforgettable.
