An unforgettable weekend sailing from Getxo.

If you want to spend a truly incredible weekend and are considering options such as renting a sailboat for groups, we have the solution. Can you imagine what it's like to get to Bermeo or Lekeitio by sea? Until you experience it you can't believe it.

I still remember my first time in ecstasy. You moor at the port, and you have at your disposal all the elements of marine life that these places offer us. Fairs, markets, museums, gastronomy, the fronton, rural sports...

You can go out for a few pots or chat with the Arrantzales, always ready to help travelers tell their incredible sea stories. And what to say about the holidays! In summer it's always a party here. If the sun comes up, the Basques already have something to celebrate... And if not, too.

    A weekend example:

We left Getxo on Friday and went along the cliffs of La Galea, where we can see the folds of the flysch, whose formation is said to date back to the time of the dinosaurs. The beaches, more cliffs, more beaches...

After sailing for a few miles, we left Cabo Villano on the starboard and continued east. In this way, we will see that sailing silently in the vicinity of San Juan de Gaztelugatxe and the Peñón de Akatz is a pleasure bordering on a mystical experience.

Something really hard to forget. We will continue to pass Cape Matxitxako and we can anchor in Arribola to take a dip. Then, we will moor in Bermeo, where we will spend the night.

On Saturday we go to the sea, not before we notice breakfast on deck or in one of the many taverns in the port.

As you give us. Between Izaro Island and the lower part of Otzarri, there is a beautiful passage from which to see the entrance to the Urdaibai River, where the famous left wave that put Mundaka on the international surf circuit years ago is formed. Laida and Laga are two incredible beaches that change size and shape with the tide.

We are enjoying one of the most beautiful landscapes in Euskal Herria; we are moving forward, and after being stunned watching the majestic walls of Cabo de Ogoño, we passed it. This way, we already have Elantxobe on the starboard side. Difficult decision: do we stop? Are we still?

If we decide to continue, six miles separate us from Cabo de Santa Catalina, behind which another of the most picturesque and lively towns on our coast hides: Lekeitio. A good place to spend the night and enjoy the atmosphere, dine, dance...

On Sunday we will sail back to Getxo. We will stop to take a bath, eat in the boat tub and do sailing practices. Another advantage of renting a sailboat for groups: being able to spend a day of life on board enjoying sailing.

Finally, we will arrive at the port, where we will take stock of the experience and say goodbye until another time.

Other information
All crew members are welcome, even if they do not know the language spoken on board (english and spanish)

About the food on board:

The most common thing is for the group itself to make a small purchase for meals for both days. Some choose to wear just enough for the first day and dine on dry land, making a new purchase the next day.

If you prefer, we can also take care of the supply. This option can be budgeted separately, adapting to the needs and tastes of the group.
