Set against the breathtaking backdrop of the Aegean Sea, the Aegean 600 Race is a world-class offshore sailing event that returns with its signature mix of challenge and beauty. This demanding 600-nautical-mile race winds through some of the most iconic islands of the Aegean — including Mykonos, Santorini, and Rhodes — offering sailors a dynamic course filled with shifting winds, strong currents, and stunning views.

First held in 2021, the Aegean 600 has quickly earned global recognition for its exceptional organization and scenic yet competitive route. The race is hosted and organized by the Hellenic Offshore Racing Club (HORC), in collaboration with the Region of Attica, and is held under the auspices of World Sailing and the Hellenic Sailing Federation.

Starting and ending at Cape Sounion, near the ancient Temple of Poseidon, the Aegean 600 is more than just a race — it’s an odyssey through history, nature, and the spirit of competitive sailing.

Meet Germaine, the skipper
3 reviews At Sailwiz since 2019
As an RYA Instructor Germaine enjoys passing on his experience to others and finding ways of sharing his passion for this sport with as many people as possible. This is what inspired him to create a not for profit organisation that gives people the opportunities that normally allude them. An excellent problem solver

Exceptional, complete, hard and demanding. A challenge that requires the capacity for suffering, the navigation is continuous without respites or stops, guard changes every 4 hours, warm bed. IT IS AN EXPERIENCE TO REPEAT after recovery
