Sailing Adventure from Mallorca to Gibraltar

Join us for a multi-day sailing passage from Mallorca to Gibraltar, travelling along the Mediterranean coast of Spain. The planned route includes Ibiza, Cartagena and Málaga before reaching Gibraltar.

This trip is designed for people who want to experience real sailing, discover beautiful places along the Spanish coast and become part of a friendly crew rather than simply travel as passengers.

We want to bring together a small, easy-going group who can enjoy the journey together, share life on board, swim in beautiful places, explore different stops along the route and experience several days of sailing through the Mediterranean.

The atmosphere on board is very friendly and familiar. Everyone is welcome to participate in everyday life on the yacht and, if interested, learn more about sailing and navigation from the crew.

The planned route is Mallorca → Ibiza → Cartagena → Málaga → Gibraltar. As with any sailing passage, the exact itinerary and timing may be adjusted according to weather, sea conditions and safety considerations.

Program

Stage 1. Mallorca to Ibiza | The Balearic Islands

Our journey begins in Mallorca, setting sail across the beautiful waters of the Balearic Islands towards Ibiza.

This first stage is a perfect introduction to life on board. Rather than immediately heading into a long offshore passage, we begin among the islands, getting to know each other, settling into the rhythm of the yacht and enjoying the Mediterranean at a relaxed pace.

Depending on weather and timing, there will be opportunities to anchor in beautiful bays, swim in clear water and enjoy the coastline before continuing towards Ibiza. Away from its famous nightlife, Ibiza offers a completely different perspective from the sea — rugged cliffs, small coves and quiet anchorages surrounded by Mediterranean landscapes.

It is a relaxed and scenic beginning to the adventure before the longer sailing stages ahead.

Stage 2. Ibiza to Cartagena | From the Islands to Mainland Spain

Leaving Ibiza behind, we set course for the Spanish mainland and Cartagena.

This stage changes the rhythm of the journey. We move away from island hopping and experience a longer stretch of open Mediterranean sailing, with more time at sea and the opportunity to take part in watches, navigation and everyday life aboard the yacht.

After the crossing, we reach Cartagena — a historic Mediterranean port surrounded by hills and shaped by more than two thousand years of maritime history. It is a natural place to rest after the passage, explore the old city, replenish supplies and enjoy some time ashore.

This part of the trip combines the experience of a real sea passage with the reward of arriving somewhere completely different by sail.

Stage 3. Cartagena to Málaga | Southern Spanish Coast

From Cartagena we turn west and begin following the Mediterranean coast of southern Spain towards Málaga.

Unlike the island crossings, this section is a coastal journey. Depending on our progress and the conditions, there may be opportunities to stop along the way, discover smaller coastal towns, anchor for a swim or simply continue sailing with the mountains and coastline of Andalusia gradually appearing around us.

Life on board becomes part of the adventure itself: sailing, cooking together, sharing watches, stopping when conditions allow and waking up in a new place along the Spanish coast.

Eventually we arrive in Málaga, one of Andalusia’s most vibrant coastal cities, where Mediterranean sailing meets the atmosphere of southern Spain.

This stage offers a balance between longer periods under sail and the possibility of exploring different places along the route.

Stage 4. Málaga to Gibraltar | Towards the Strait

We leave Málaga for the final stage of our journey, continuing west along the Andalusian coast towards one of the most remarkable sailing destinations in Europe — Gibraltar.

The landscape gradually changes as we approach the western end of the Mediterranean. The coast narrows towards the Strait of Gibraltar, where the Mediterranean meets the Atlantic and Europe lies only a short distance from Africa.

This final section is not simply about reaching another marina. Sailing towards the Strait gives the journey a real sense of destination — after travelling from the Balearic Islands and along the Spanish Mediterranean coast, we arrive at one of the world’s most famous maritime gateways.

Depending on visibility and conditions, the mountains of northern Africa may appear across the water as we approach Gibraltar, creating a memorable ending to the passage.

Other information

All crew members are welcome, even if they do not know the language spoken on board (english and spanish)

This is a shared sailing passage, not a private charter of the entire yacht. You will be joining other participants on board.

We are looking for a friendly and respectful crew who would like to enjoy the sailing experience together. No previous sailing experience is required.

The route and dates may change slightly depending on weather and sea conditions. Safety always has priority over the planned itinerary.

The yacht offers 3 cabins and 2 bathrooms, a spacious saloon, a fully equipped galley and practical interior storage. The cockpit provides a comfortable area for sailing and relaxing, while the deck layout allows easy movement around the boat.

She is suitable for small groups who want to experience real sailing while still having the comfort needed for several days at sea. Accommodation is provided in shared cabins, with common living areas available for all guests.

The yacht is operated by an experienced skipper and is equipped for safe coastal and offshore cruising.
