Join us for a multi-day offshore sailing passage from Gibraltar to Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, leaving the Mediterranean behind and heading into the Atlantic. The planned route includes Madeira before continuing south towards the Canary Islands.

This trip is designed for people who want to experience real ocean sailing, spend several days at sea and become part of a small, friendly crew rather than simply travel as passengers.

We want to bring together an easy-going group who can share life on board, take part in watches, enjoy sunsets and star-filled nights far from the coast, and experience the very different rhythm of a longer Atlantic passage.

The journey combines two distinctive parts: the first offshore leg from Gibraltar towards Madeira, followed by time to rest and explore the island before setting sail again for the Canary Islands. The final stage takes us south through the Atlantic towards Las Palmas, where the yacht will arrive at its winter base.

The atmosphere on board is friendly and familiar. Everyone is welcome to participate in everyday life on the yacht and, if interested, learn more about offshore sailing, navigation and life at sea from the crew.

The planned route is Gibraltar → Madeira → Las Palmas de Gran Canaria. As with any ocean passage, the exact itinerary, departure times and length of each stage may be adjusted according to weather, sea conditions and safety considerations.

Program
  • 1 block. Gibraltar to Madeira | Into the Atlantic
Our journey begins in Gibraltar, at one of the most iconic maritime gateways in the world. From here we leave the Mediterranean behind, pass through the Strait of Gibraltar and set course into the open Atlantic towards Madeira.

This is where the character of the journey changes completely. Instead of coastal sailing and frequent stops, we enter a true offshore passage, spending several days at sea and adapting to the rhythm of ocean sailing.

Life on board becomes part of the experience: sharing watches, cooking together, navigating, watching the weather and enjoying long stretches of open water. Far from the coast, sunsets and night skies become one of the highlights of the passage.

After several days at sea, the dramatic volcanic landscape of Madeira appears on the horizon. Arriving at the island by yacht after crossing the Atlantic is a very different experience from simply flying there.

Once in Madeira, we can rest, explore the island, replenish supplies and prepare the yacht for the second ocean stage.

  • 2 block. Madeira to Las Palmas | South to the Canary Islands
After our stop in Madeira, we set sail again and begin the second Atlantic passage, this time heading south towards the Canary Islands.

By this stage, the crew has already settled into life at sea, making the journey feel more natural and familiar. We return to the rhythm of watches, sailing day and night, cooking on board and following our progress across the Atlantic.

As we move south, the atmosphere gradually becomes warmer and the journey takes us towards the subtropical waters of the Canary Islands. Depending on the conditions, this passage offers another opportunity to experience several uninterrupted days of genuine offshore sailing.

Eventually, Gran Canaria appears ahead and we make our final approach to Las Palmas — one of the Atlantic’s best-known sailing hubs and the yacht’s winter destination.

Finishing the journey here gives the passage a real sense of completion: from the entrance of the Mediterranean at Gibraltar, through Madeira, all the way to the Canary Islands.

All crew members are welcome, even if they do not know the language spoken on board (english and spanish)

This is a shared sailing passage, not a private charter of the entire yacht. You will be joining other participants on board.

We are looking for a friendly and respectful crew who would like to enjoy the sailing experience together. No previous sailing experience is required.

The route and dates may change slightly depending on weather and sea conditions. Safety always has priority over the planned itinerary.
