About me
Raised among sailors and shipyards, I've been sailing the Mediterranean as a skipper for over 20 years. After stints in the Italian Navy and high-end charters, I now manage a restored wooden gulet, offering authentic experiences of sea, comfort, and tradition.
I speak English (high), French (medium), Spanish (medium)
Nautical experience
I've primarily sailed sailing yachts, almost always with owner-operated charters and for annual periods, overseeing maintenance work during the winter. From Brenta 38s to Southern Wind 80s, including various Swan classes, it's been a gradual growth process that has seen, with each charter, the size of the boats and the number of miles traveled increase. With over 20,000 miles sailed in the Mediterranean, I've gained a good knowledge of Greece, the Balearic Islands, and the French Riviera. I know the "Italian peninsula" very well and have sailed, albeit for shorter periods, in Croatia, Montenegro, and Albania. In recent years, I've often visited Tunisia and occasionally take a quick trip to Algeria (which I adore!). Of course, I'm at home in Sardinia and Corsica, and I know almost every inlet on the coast of both islands. Over the years on board, I've had the opportunity to hone my knowledge of food and wine to satisfy my increasingly demanding owners.
