Crossing the Pacific by sail is one of the great experiences of ocean sailing. Our 2025 Fountaine Pajot Elba 45 will face one of the most important stages of our round-the-world project: sailing from Panama to the Marquesas Islands, in French Polynesia.
Our trip around the world began in Barcelona. After crossing the Atlantic, sailing for months through the Caribbean and reaching Panama, now is the time to take the great leap to the Pacific.
The departure is scheduled from Panama. Ahead we will have about 4,000 nautical miles and about five weeks of sailing to reach the Marquesas Islands, always depending on weather and ocean conditions.
For this stage we only open 4 seats on board.
We don't think of this trip as a conventional vacation or as a simple transfer from one point to another. Whoever embarks will become part of the crew and of the life of the ship throughout the voyage.
We will sail day and night, organizing ourselves into guards and participating in the different tasks on board: navigation, maneuvers, weather monitoring, cooking, organizing the ship and daily life. We will also practice deep sea fishing during the trip whenever conditions permit.
You don't need to have a great deal of previous sailing experience. We are looking for people with an adventurous spirit, desire to learn, capacity for coexistence and, above all, enthusiasm to actively participate in an authentic ocean voyage.
Two captains will be on board, which will allow us to organize guards and navigation with greater safety and peace of mind during such a crossing.
The boat is a 2025 Fountaine Pajot Elba 45, a modern, spacious catamaran ready for long-distance sailing. It has large indoor and outdoor areas, desalination plant, electricity generation, solar energy, Starlink and all the necessary equipment to face long stages independently.
Participants will be accommodated in two double cabins, both with a private bathroom and shower. By limiting this journey to only four seats, we seek to maintain space, comfort and good conviviality during the weeks we will be in the ocean.
After approximately five weeks of sailing, our destination will be the Marquesas Islands. Arriving by sea to one of the most remote archipelagos on the planet, after having crossed the Pacific from Panama, will be one of those moments difficult to forget.
The voyage officially ends in the Marquesas Islands, where we will stay a few days before the ship continues its project around the world in French Polynesia.
Rather than buying a seat on a boat, we seek to share one of the great stages of our trip with people who really want to experience the Pacific from the inside.
