Knots and Cabuyería For Navigators

We present to you a 100% practical workshop designed for those who want to master the fundamental knots and acquire basic knowledge about cabuyería. You will learn to make the essential knots with ease and to recognize the different types of cables and materials, choosing the most suitable one for each situation on board.

In just two hours, you'll develop the skills needed to apply these knots in practice and improve safety and efficiency in your maneuvers. An essential workshop both for those who are new to sailing and for those who want to reinforce their skill in handling ropes.

Plan

Seminar program.

- The cables: parts, types and materials. Which one to use in each case

- Creation and use of basic knots:

Cote.

Crossbow.

Guide ace (encapsulate a gauze).

Plain or curly.

Boza.

Lasca or eight.

- How to turn a bagpipe in eight.

- How to adduce a cape: different ways to do it correctly.

- Maintenance of ropes and moorings: care, detection of wear and when to replace them.
