A round trip from Martinique to the Grenadines and back – with only one airport for arrival and departure. Sailing via St. Lucia with the Pitons and St. Vincent, we head to the Grenadines: Bequia, Mustique, the Tobago Cays, Union Island, and the tiny sand island of Mopion. Turquoise waters over pale sand, reefs for snorkeling, and anchorages found nowhere else.

The return journey takes us north on the trade winds to Martinique. This round trip with a single transfer point is one of the most popular formats of our Caribbean season – getting there is easy, and you experience two very different faces of the Lesser Antilles on one sailing trip: the green volcanic islands of the Windwards and the flat reef islands of the Grenadines.

Highlights:
We decide on our stops in ports and anchorages together. We are a crew that plans the route according to preferences, wind and weather.

Martinique, Le Marin — Home port: Start and finish via the same airport

Marigot Bay, St. Lucia — hidden palm-fringed bay behind a narrow entrance

The Pitons — the two volcanic cones of St. Lucia, a UNESCO World Heritage Site

Cumberland Bay, St. Vincent — a deep bay where the rainforest reaches right to the water's edge.

Bequia, Port Elizabeth — expansive Admiralty Bay and old boatbuilding tradition

Basil's Bar, Mustique — legendary beach bar on the most exclusive island in the Grenadines

Tobago Cays & Mayreau — Reef atoll in the national park, snorkeling with sea turtles

Union Island — colorful island port and gateway to the southern Grenadines

Mopion — a tiny sand island with a single parasol made of palm fronds

Precinct:
The Lesser Antilles stretch from the Virgin Islands to the coast of Venezuela. Our sailing trip takes us through the Windward Islands from Martinique via St. Lucia and St. Vincent to the Grenadines – and back again along the same route. The islands lie within the trade wind belt, enjoying a tropical to subtropical climate: air temperatures remain a constant 25–29 °C year-round, and water temperatures a consistent 26–28 °C. The northeast trade winds blow steadily at force 4–6 – sailing pleasure is guaranteed.

The best and driest time to travel is between November and April. The people are friendly and open-minded, and the Caribbean lifestyle of reggae, rum, and good cheer is omnipresent.

A round trip with only one airport: We start and end in Le Marin, Martinique – arrival and departure are via the same airport, which simplifies planning and often makes flights cheaper. This combination of a circular route and a single transfer point is one of the most popular sailing formats of our Caribbean season.

After embarkation, provisioning, and a safety briefing in Le Marin, we set course south. Our first stop is St. Lucia: Marigot Bay, a narrow, palm-fringed bay that only opens up when you're almost in it – and the Pitons, the two volcanic cones that rise directly from the sea and are a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Continuing south, we reach St. Vincent and anchor in Cumberland Bay, where the rainforest stretches right to the water's edge. Then the Grenadines begin: Bequia with Port Elizabeth and the expansive Admiralty Bay, Mustique with Basil's Bar right on the beach – and finally the highlight of the trip, the Tobago Cays. We anchor behind Horseshoe Reef in the national park, snorkel with sea turtles, and have Mayreau right next door.

We sail from Union Island to Mopion, a tiny sandbar with a single parasol made of palm fronds – there's nothing else there. Then we turn around and sail north again on the trade winds back to Martinique.

Approximately 210 nautical miles: heading south, mostly broad reach and reaching courses; on the return north, close-hauled and broad reach courses – a trip where you sail all courses close to the wind. Sailing experience is welcome, but not required. The onboard languages are German and English.

For those looking to log miles for their next sailing license: Since we'll be sailing down the Windward Islands to the Grenadines and back on this trip, you'll rack up plenty of nautical miles. Of course, we'll issue you an official mileage certificate at the end of the trip.

Our yacht travels the world – and you can join us! With us, you're not an anonymous guest on a standard route, but part of a real crew, discovering new horizons together. We're not a typical charter company that sails the same tour every week. Instead, we sail together, experience authentic boat life, and embrace the adventure the sea has in store for us.

Climb aboard a superbly equipped, lovingly maintained boat and enjoy something special: With us, nothing is off the rack. Every trip is unique – sometimes spontaneous, sometimes planned, always full of surprises. Unplanned experiences are just as much a part of it as relaxing days on deck.

Want more than just a sailing trip? We'll take care of the onboard technology together, and you can lend a hand if you like. You can turn your holiday cruise into a real experience on a long-distance cruising yacht and become part of life at sea.

Our sailing trips combine vacation, adventure, mindfulness, and authentic boating life. Become part of our crew and experience a special time on Galini – authentic, communal, and full of adventure.

Boat details

Our yacht, a Hanse, stands for a comfortable and outstanding experience. It gives you a feeling of spaciousness, a calm atmosphere and offers the freedom you need for your activities. Nevertheless, it is fast, sporty and has great sailing performance. It was designed by Volvo Ocean Race Designers and is the fastest yacht in its class.

The large cockpit offers enough space for pleasant get-togethers and long conversations with a breathtaking panoramic view. On the sun deck you can be alone, take the time to read a book or enjoy the nature around you. The skipper's cabin has its own entrance. Even if you are supported by a professional crew, you still have your privacy.

The yacht is a modern Hanse 575. It has 4 double cabins and a cabin for the skipper. Each cabin has its own bathroom with electric toilet. Starlink, multi media, air conditioning, generator, 230 V in all cabins and Nespresso coffee machine. Solar panels, radar, AIS, watermaker, washing machine, bathing platform and a dinghy with an electrically powered outboard motor. Comprehensive safety and navigation equipment as well as many other equipment that you need to be self-sufficient.
The perfect yacht that meets the highest standards of safety, design, sailing characteristics and comfort.
