It's not a sailing trip. It's a weekend to learn how to sail for real, as we explore one of the wildest stretches of coastline in the Mediterranean.
For two days we sailed around Cabo de Gata learning the real basics of sailing: how a sailboat works, how it is governed, how the sails are adjusted and how to move safely on board. All in a practical way, without endless theoretical classes and without posturing.
The plan is simple: navigate, learn and enjoy. Each person actively participates in the maneuvers, steers the ship and understands what is happening at all times, always accompanied by an instructor.
No previous experience is required. Yes, you need a desire to learn and to experience the sea from within.
Between sailings there is time to anchor, bathe, eat on board and enjoy the environment, without haste or tourist scripts.
If you've ever thought about learning sailing but aren't attracted to classic courses or outings disguised as experience, this weekend is for you.
