Your adventure begins in Barcelona. From there we set off on our sailing trip, which will take you approximately 300 nautical miles through the sparkling waters of the Mediterranean. Along the way, you will not only learn the basics of navigation, seamanship, shipping law and meteorology, but also the practical skills you need to safely steer a catamaran.
In practice, you will learn all facets of sailing, from the basics such as docking and casting off, harbor maneuvers and rescuing people overboard, to advanced training such as sailing a catamaran, reefing, night sailing, anchoring and usage of the VHF radio. Our experienced sailing instructors from the RYA and Spanish Merchant Navy, I will be on hand to provide you with advice and support throughout the course to ensure you develop a sound understanding of all aspects of sailing.
At the end of the week, you will have the opportunity to put your newly acquired skills to the test by taking an International Certificate of Competence (ICC) exam. With this license you are qualified to charter sailboats up to 24 meters worldwide and take your sailing adventure to the next level.
