Course taught by Juan Ramón Pina, doctor. pharmacist, Yacht Captain and PPER and author of the book: The sextant. A practical course.
I started sailing with my 5.5m BAKUNIN. in length, making long journeys the old-fashioned way: without electronics, or autopilot, or depth sounder, or radio. Astronomical Navigation finished fulfilling all my aspirations as a navigator, training that allowed me to go beyond the Mediterranean and carry out my ocean voyages, which I have never stopped practicing.
At present I am dedicated to the training of navigators in Cruises of Height and Crossing the Atlantic, always following the Petrel Method: guards, kitchen, emergency medicine, sail sewing, sextant and blank letters.
