Learn how to plan a trip to the Balearic Islands and practice different anchoring techniques. We invite you to embark on our sailboat for 4 days heading to the Balearic Islands, where we will practice various anchoring techniques in paradisiacal coves.
The main objective of this experience is for you to learn how to plan and execute offshore navigation as a skipper, acquiring the necessary skills to anchor safely and enjoy unforgettable nights in coves.
This course is designed for those who already have a nautical qualification and wish to gain experience in offshore sailing and anchoring techniques. It is perfect for those who are considering renting a sailboat to enjoy an unforgettable holiday this summer.
Our initial plan will be to set sail from Barcelona and sail towards the Balearic Islands or the Costa Brava, depending on the weather conditions, but always looking for a destination where we can visit several coves where we can drop anchor.
The main blocks of the course will be:
Planning the journey: You will learn to define the route to follow, identify ports of interest and shelters, interpret the weather, calculate fuel consumption, purchase and organize guard shifts.
Execute the crossing as skipper: You will focus on updating the logbook, managing watches, sailing or motor navigation depending on the conditions and the crew.
Selecting coves: You will discover how to choose the ideal cove taking into account its characteristics and weather conditions.
Anchoring practices: We will learn to carry out anchoring maneuvers and safely raise the anchor, perfecting these key techniques to spend peaceful nights spending the night in coves.
