Cruising sailing practices on the voyage to Morocco

We offer you a 4-day sailing training trip to Morocco from Malaga in our Dufour 455 GL, so that you can continue learning and gaining experience.

On the voyage we will all work on guards, sail trim, kitchen, on-board electronics (radar, AIS, headings, Waypoints...), cleaning, anchoring, etc. You will learn to plan and manage a journey from scratch, including aspects such as meal menus, port reservations, travel plans or the weather.

Of course, it is a trip to enjoy, so we will fish, bathe and do what we all want within the training program.

Our boat with 14 meters in length, 4 cabins, 3 bathrooms and fully equipped, will allow us a pleasant and fun experience.

At the end of the trip you will receive an accreditation from the school with the miles sailed for your "log book" and be able to prove hours of navigation and training received.

Plan

Thursday:
8:00 p.m. - Departure to Ceuta. Night navigation of about 14 hours.

Friday:
Walk through Ceuta and visit the Market to see if there is fresh seafood and stock up for a good meal on board.
In the afternoon, we will sail to Marina Smir (Tetouan) and have dinner on board.

Saturday:
We will sail to Cabo Negro, a typical anchoring area of that coast, and we will anchor for a while to bathe. The road from the port is a couple of hours along the coast of Morocco, quite surprising, you'll see.
In the afternoon we will visit the souk of Tetuán and have dinner in the city.

Sunday
Return journey to Benalmádena, where we will arrive in the afternoon.
Our adventure will end after cleaning the boat and leaving it spotless like good sailors.

Other information

As usual, the expenses of the food to supply the boat, the ports and diesel will be paid separately by all:
- We take care of creating a menu and we will pass on the cost per head, normally around €25 per person per day including food, drinks and consumables.
- Ports and diesel is not a significant amount. since those of Ceuta and Marina Smir are about €50 each.
- The diesel if we have good winds, nothing; but if we have to use the engine, consumption is very low, 5 liters/hour.

Obviously, the activities that we decide to carry out in the destination cities are not included in the price.
