Navigation Workshop in Mallorca - Conquer your Fears

You have told us that you still have some fears to overcome to take the next step in your next nautical challenges... So we launched this Navigation Workshop "Conquer Your Fears" to offer you the opportunity to work on the maneuvers and situations that pose the greatest challenge to you. .

We will organize this workshop on the island of Mallorca.

It will be a workshop focused on the maneuvers and content that you ask us for most in our workshops: maneuvers in port, night navigation and in bad weather, night anchoring, only under sail and with a line to land (Mediterranean), knowing the engine, knowing how to respond to various emergencies on board and many other complex maneuvers and situations that we will put into practice.

Among others, we will try to develop the following points:

Maneuvers in port: entry and exit, docking, influence of the wind, maneuvering in confined spaces, communication and organization with the crew...
Navigation in bad weather: weather analysis and route planning, maneuvers in bad weather, navigating with a nautical chart...
Know the marine engine: basic aspects, frequently asked questions, maintenance...
Night navigation: preparation, AIS operation, lights and signals, night piloting...
Anchoring: with rope to land, anchoring at night, anchoring without motor...
Emergencies on board: preparation, task assignment, reaction in case of danger, person overboard...

Plan

On Thursday around 9:00 a.m. we will board and stow in Palma, to set sail around 11:00 a.m.
From Thursday to Sunday we will carry out the entire navigation workshop. It will be three and a half intense days, where we will prioritize doing maneuvers, drills and exercises over doing miles.
Of course, there will be time and place to enjoy while we sail and anchor to eat, as well as have moments to bathe and rest.
We will disembark on Sunday around 3:00 p.m.

* You can board on Wednesday from 7:00 p.m. to sleep on the boat (at no extra cost).
* The idea, if the weather permits, is to anchor in coves and beaches in Mallorca and make a crossing to the Island of Cabrera.

Other information

The Workshop adapts to the experience of each person, from crew members to PER, PY and CY. It is not necessary to have a nautical qualification, but it is necessary to have sailed before, know the basic nautical language and, especially, have the attitude and desire to continue learning.
