Course offered by Luis

2 days
Available in Spanish, Portuguese, English
Luis_Alvarez_Tokio
With this experience we propose to practice the most significant concepts of night navigation: acclimatization to another environment, the use of lights, recognition of marks at night and watches, among other aspects.
And all of this while enjoying the spectacular beauty of the Arousa estuary in a VO60 under the light of the full moon.
We will be on board a full weekend night.

  • Plan
    Saturday:
At 7:00 p.m. there will be a briefing in the Cabo de Cruz Marina on board the boat, on safety, on-board regulations and operation of the trim systems.
Next, we will leave the port to carry out maneuvers in the Boiro cove, so that the crew becomes familiar with the trim systems.
Then, as night falls, we will sail along the Ría de Arousa, in an area between Sálvora, O Grove and Vilagarcía de Arousa.
Participants will become familiar with sailing aboard a boat designed for competition: trimming of sails, operation of grinders, sheets, halyards and coarses, etc.
Participants will rotate through the different tasks on board: bow, mast, piano, grinders, mainsail trimmer, genoa/asymmetric trimmer or rudder.

    Sunday:
End of the activity at the Cabo de Cruz Marina-Club Náutico de Boiro at 10:00 a.m.
