Navigation and Safety Practices PER, officers to obtain this nautical qualification.

This practical training consists of 16 hours and is taught in two sessions in Valencia, with one session a day.

They are mandatory to obtain the Recreational Boat Master title together with the Radio Practices. In addition to having to pass the official theory exam and deliver a psychotechnical certificate.

We deliver safe conduct for you to come from anywhere in Spain. And we ask for the antigen test before shipment.


Beneteau Oceanis: 15 meters in length. 4 cabins, 4 bathrooms, great room and kitchen.
Sorrento Vagabundo: 17 meters in length, 4 double cabins, 3 bathrooms, large living room and kitchen. With Yanky, trinqueta and major.

The distribution of the total practice time would be divided into eight sections. These being the following:

Section 1. Safety and checks before going to sea.
Knowledge and management of safety equipment, review of the critical points of the boat and checks prior to going to sea.

Section 2. Fire Fighting and Defeat Planning.
Route planning: Identification of the area to be navigated, status and capacity of the crew, and interpretation of weather forecasts. Fire fighting issues.

Section 3. Motors and electrical installation
Identification of the elements of the propulsion installation and of the electrical installation. Engine start and function checks.

Section 4. Maintenance of the vessel, prevention of pollution and lines.
Maintenance of the boat and its elements. Precautions depending on the material of the same. Antifouling. Prevention of marine pollution. Handling of ropes and basic knots.

Section 5. Maneuvers.
Dock maneuvers, berths and moorings. Safety speed.

Section 6. Anchoring, surveillance and control of the defeat
Anchoring maneuver and heading control and RIPA rules. Brand identification and
beacons. Reverse course and precautions in night navigation and with limited visibility.

Section 7. Navigation
Practical aspects of navigation, such as the determination of the total correction for leading, the situation for delays, leading and GNSS equipment, as well as for graphical estimation. Using the probe and slide. Quick positioning on the chart. Reconnaissance of the coast, delays and safety veril.

Section 8. Safety maneuvers
Man overboard maneuvering, using the MOB function of the GNSS equipment, and the maneuvers of giving and receiving towing. Precautions in rescue from boat and helicopters will also be taken into account.

Additional information
The practices are done with nautical or sports shoes with white soles.

IMPORTANT: All crew members must take an antigen test carried out by a medical center where they draw your blood and give you the results. The test must be done 2 days before departure.

It is a much cheaper test than a PCR can cost from 30 or 40 euros.
