During this journey we will combine sailing training with navigation near the Levantine coast.

The course is oriented to obtain and practice the knowledge that is needed to govern a cruise ship. It complements the learning obtained in the PER and gives us the capacity and confidence to handle a boat autonomously.

We will visit Las Fuentes in Alcocéber and, as the weather dictates, also the Columbretes Islands.

Upon arrival on Thursday, we will spend the night on board. With the forecast in hand we will organize the crossing, shuffling as alternatives to go to Fuentes, in Alcocebre, or to the Columbretes Islands.

On the first day we will insist on the necessary sailing maneuvers and the setting of sails for each heading. After spending the night embarked at our destination, we will use the second day in route planning and in the government techniques of the boat for each course, arriving in the afternoon at our other destination where, if possible, we will spend the night.

The last day will be destined to practice everything seen with the least guidance from the employer. In the afternoon we will return to Castellón to return to Madrid.

The boat
Boat that combines comfort with good speed benefits for its length. Like all First, it defends its rating well for its hull design, a good size stick that supports a large sail area compensated by a daggerboard that lowers its draft to 2.35 m, and symmetrical spi. Although it is not comparable to a Swan type racer, its interior comfort makes up for it, offering good habitability. It plays a more than worthy role in regattas and offers good comfort for long stays on vacation.

Yacht captain and PPER with extensive experience in crossings and regattas. I enjoy sailing in almost any situation, relaxed on vacation or competitive of regattas. I do not care about the bad weather or sleep little or anywhere but I detest the problems of coexistence on board.
