Board the tall ship in Valencia for a five-night Mediterranean itinerary blending hands-on sailing, island exploration, and three iconic Spanish destinations. Consider arriving a little earlier to stroll through Valencia’s historic core, taste authentic local paella, or visit the futuristic City of Arts and Sciences before setting sail.

Leaving port, we steer east toward Mallorca, giving you time to ease into the shipboard routine. Work alongside the crew to handle lines and steer, or simply kick back on deck and take in the endless horizon. Getting involved is completely optional, and the team is always on hand to assist.

Our stop in Palma gives you the opportunity to wander through old-town alleyways, discover secluded courtyards, and admire the massive Gothic cathedral overlooking the bay. Back on board, we set a course for Barcelona, enjoying another leg of open-water sailing before reaching the Catalan capital.

The expedition concludes in Barcelona, where extending your trip gives you time to explore the historic Gothic Quarter, marvel at Gaudí’s legendary architecture, and enjoy the city's vibrant culinary scene and bustling streets.

Boat details

Four masted schooner. At 223ft long (63 metres), the crew to guest ratio is excellent so you will be well looked after. This historic Portuguese tall ship has excellent facilities on board and plenty of holiday toys like dive ribs, 'stand up paddle boards' and kayaks, but this is also a ship where you can take part in the hands on sailing, join a night watch or climb the rigging.

All cabins have private ensuite WCs and showers, are carpeted, air conditioned and soundproofed for comfort.

6 DOUBLE BUNK CABINS: Two bunk beds.
3 COMMUNAL FOUR-PERSON SHARED CABINS: Two bunk beds.
3 COMMUNAL SIX-PERSON SHARED CABINS: Three bunk beds.

This schooner was once the flagship of the Portuguese cod fishing fleet. Built in 1937, in the same year as her sister ship Creoula, she was designed to fish the Newfoundland Banks and rich fishing waters of Arctic Greenland. She often carries the small rowing and sailing dories that would have set out from the mother ship to fish for cod, so you can continue her fishing tradition from small boats or from her huge wooden decks.
