Julio Verne Náutica is a nautical academy based in Baiona, serving the Rías Baixas region. Its primary focus is training. It is an accredited school by the Directorate General of the Merchant Marine, offering all the courses and practical training necessary to obtain the recreational boating qualifications currently in force under Spanish law. Julio Verne is also accredited by the Royal Yachting Association to conduct RYA courses.
