The General Operator course of the Global Maritime Distress and Safety System (GMDSS) accredits the student to be qualified personnel for emergency, urgency, security and routine communications. Provides extensive knowledge of all GMDSS equipment and procedures used on ships navigating any maritime zone (A1, A2, A3 and A4).
With this training you will be able to renew the Maritime Specialty certificate approved by the General Directorate of the Merchant Navy (DGMM) and endorsed by the International Maritime Organization (IMO).
This course is aimed at Captains and Officers in charge of the navigation watch of civil ships covered by the Global Maritime Distress and Safety System in any maritime zone (A1, A2, A3 and A4), in accordance with the definitions contemplated by the Royal Decree 1185/2006 as of October 16.
The program complies with the official regulations of Order FOM/2296/2002 and the Resolution of June 18, 2013, complying with the Training Code of the STCW-78 Convention. Its contents are contained in Rule IV/2 of the amended STCW-78 Convention, Section A-IV/2, Table A-IV/2 and Section B-IV/2 of the STCW Code and ERC/DEC/(99)01 .
