Restricted Radio Operator Update Course in Altea

The course will take place on a single day from 8:00 a.m. to 4:15 p.m., at our school in Altea.

TOPIC 1.- Types of communications in the maritime mobile service

MODULE 2. PRACTICAL KNOWLEDGE AND QUALIFICATION OF A SHIP'S STATION EQUIPMENT

TOPIC 2.- Basic knowledge of the equipment of a Station on a ship

TOPIC 3.- Digital Selective Call (LSD)

MODULE 3. OPERATIONAL PROCEDURES AND DETAILED OPERATION OF THE PRACTICE OF SMSSM SYSTEMS AND THEIR SUBSYSTEMS

TOPIC 4.- Global Maritime Distress and Safety System.

TOPIC 5.- NAVTEX

TOPIC 6.- Relief Radio Beacon (RLS)

TOPIC 7.- Search and Rescue Radar Responder (SART).

TOPIC 8.- Communication procedures in the SMSSM.

MODULE 4. OPERATIONAL CAPABILITIES AND PROCEDURES FOR GENERAL COMMUNICATIONS

TOPIC 9.- Ability to use the English language, both written and spoken, for the satisfactory exchange of communications relevant to the safety of human life at sea

TOPIC 10.- Mandatory procedures and practices.

TOPIC 11.- Theoretical and practical knowledge of general communication procedures.
