Our adventure begins on São Miguel, the largest island in the archipelago. Wander the mosaic streets of Ponta Delgada, soak in the thermal springs of Furnas, or admire the twin crater lakes of Sete Cidades, steeped in local legend. Before setting sail, you might also visit the Lagoa do Fogo nature reserve or swim beneath the warm waterfall of Caldeira Velha.
From São Miguel, we head west into waters teeming with marine life. The São Jorge Channel is one of the finest whale-watching areas in the Azores, home to resident sperm whales, along with blue, fin, and sei whales, and playful pods of Atlantic spotted and bottlenose dolphins.
On Graciosa, life moves at a gentler pace. Known as the “White Island,” it charms visitors with its soft green hills, iconic windmills, vineyards, and the impressive Furna do Enxofre, a vast volcanic cavern with a sulphurous underground lake.
Our journey concludes on Faial, an island synonymous with Atlantic sailing. The legendary Horta Marina is lined with colorful murals painted by passing crews, while a visit to Peter Café Sport—a cherished meeting place for sailors from around the world—is the perfect finale to your voyage.
