Atlantic sailing trip: Martinique — Azores

A unique journey across the Atlantic from the Caribbean to Europe, combining sailing, learning and an unforgettable experience in the open sea.

We set sail from Martinique to the Azores, with a subsequent return to the Spanish Peninsula. A classic route that allows you to enjoy different sailing conditions, from Caribbean winds to mid-Atlantic latitudes.

During the voyage, participation on board is active and collaborative, including guards and maneuvers for those who wish to get involved, always accompanied by the skipper and adapted to the level and experience of each crew member.

The onboard environment is close and collaborative, combining moments of sailing, learning and also time to enjoy the sea, the open skies and the total disconnection offered by the ocean.

This is an authentic, yet accessible experience, where you can acquire real knowledge of ocean navigation while being part of a journey that many dreamers have in mind.

Ideal for those looking for more than just a vacation: adventure, learning and the opportunity to sail across the Atlantic.

Plan

Planned departure from Martinique to the North Atlantic, looking for the Westerlies, starting a classic ocean voyage back to Europe.

During the first few days we will sail leaving behind the Caribbean and looking for the best weather conditions for the ascent to the Azores, adapting the route to the wind and the state of the sea for comfortable and safe navigation.

Life on board will be participatory and relaxed. Whoever wishes can get involved in maneuvers, sail trimming, guards and navigation, sharing a real ocean sailing experience. There will also be time to enjoy the sea, disconnect and live the rhythm of the journey.

After arriving in the Azores archipelago, we will stop to rest, stock up and enjoy one of the most emblematic places in Atlantic navigation.

Then we will continue to the Iberian Peninsula, with our final destination Seville, thus completing an authentic transatlantic sailing trip.

Like all ocean navigation, the itinerary, schedules and times can be adjusted according to the weather conditions and the criteria of the skipper, always prioritizing the safety and comfort of the crew

Other information

All crew members are welcome, even if they do not know the language spoken on board (english and spanish)

It is recommended to bring light luggage and preferably in a flexible bag (not rigid suitcases).

Although we will depart from the Caribbean and enjoy warm temperatures for much of the trip, as we gain latitude to the Azores and Europe the nights can be cool, so it is advisable to also bring some warm clothing, a waterproof/windproof jacket and comfortable clothing for night guards.

Each crew member must bring a sleeping bag.

Nautical shoes or sneakers with clear, non-slip soles are also recommended.
