We start in Trapani, a picturesque port town known for its Sicilian charm and fresh seafood. After a short stay in this historic town, we sail along the coast, where there are numerous opportunities to enjoy southern hospitality and taste delicious regional specialties.
Our route takes us to the fascinating Aeolian Islands – an archipelago of volcanic islands famous for their dramatic scenery and traditional delicacies:
• Vulcano: The island, which lives up to its name, is not only known for its impressive volcanoes, but also for its delicious Vulcano specialties. Don't miss out on fresh grilled seafood or the traditional fish stew. You can experience real Sicilian life, especially in the small taverns.
• Filicudi: This quiet island has an authentic atmosphere and gives you the opportunity to enjoy Sicilian cuisine in its most authentic form. Try caponata (an eggplant dish) or pasta alla norma, the traditional dish with eggplant and ricotta.
• Alicudi: The most remote of the islands offers not only breathtaking landscapes but also a distinctive culinary experience. Here you will find handmade cheeses and sausages as well as the sweet honey produced on Alicudi.
• Salina: This island is famous for its wine production. The sweet Malvasia wine from Salina is one of the best wines in the region. In the small wineries you have the opportunity to taste the Malvasia and other regional wines, paired with freshly prepared antipasti made from local ingredients.
• Stromboli: The island of the active volcano offers not only fascinating nature, but also delicious fish dishes and pasta with fresh mussels. The Pasticceria of Stromboli is famous for its delicious cannoli, which you should definitely try while enjoying the spectacular sunset over the volcano.
At the end of this culinary and sailing adventure, we reach our destination port, Porto Rosa. Here, in northern Sicily, another highlight awaits you: the regional cuisine with a variety of fresh cheese, meat and fish dishes that offer you the perfect end to this trip.
